1. Introduction

2. Important Safety Information

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, follow these basic precautions:

  • Keep ventilation openings clear of obstructions.

4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Unpacking and Placement

  1. Carefully remove all packaging materials.
  2. Place the ice maker on a flat, stable surface. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
  3. Allow the unit to stand upright for at least 24 hours before plugging it in. This allows the refrigerant to settle.

4.2 Water Inlet Connection

The KOKEBREN ice maker supports two water inlet modes: direct tap water connection or top-loading with a gallon water bottle.

4.2.1 Tap Water Connection

  1. Connect the provided water filter to your tap water supply line.
  2. Attach the water inlet hose from the filter to the designated inlet port on the back of the ice maker.
  3. Ensure all connections are secure to prevent leaks.

4.2.2 Top-Loading Water Bottle

  1. Place a standard gallon water bottle onto the top-loading dispenser.
  2. The machine will automatically draw water as needed.

4.3 Drain Hose Connection

Connect the drain hose to the drain outlet on the ice maker and direct it to a suitable drain or container. Ensure the hose has a downward slope for proper drainage.

4.4 Initial Cleaning

Before first use, it is recommended to run the automatic cleaning function twice to ensure the internal components are clean.

5. Operation

5.1 Control Panel Overview

The ice maker features an LED digital display and mechanical buttons for precise control.

  • POWER Indicator: Illuminates when the compressor is running.
  • ICE FULL Indicator: Illuminates when the ice storage bin is full.
  • ICE MAKING Indicator: Illuminates during the ice production cycle.
  • TIMER/CLEAN Indicator: Illuminates when the timer function is active or during cleaning.
  • ON/OFF Button: Powers the unit on or off.
  • TIMER Button: Activates the reservation/timer function.
  • CLEAN Button: Initiates the automatic cleaning cycle.
  • UP/DOWN Arrows: Adjust ice-making time (ice thickness) or timer settings.

5.2 Ice Production

  1. Ensure the water supply is connected and the unit is plugged in.
  2. Press the ON/OFF button to start the ice maker.
  3. The unit will begin its ice-making cycle, producing 60 clear ice cubes in approximately 8-15 minutes.
  4. The ICE FULL indicator will illuminate when the storage bin reaches its capacity of 26 lbs.

5.3 Adjusting Ice Thickness

Use the UP and DOWN arrow buttons to adjust the ice-making time, which directly affects the thickness of the ice cubes.

  • Thin Ice (5-8 minutes): Suitable for smoothies or seafood.
  • Medium Ice (8-11 minutes): Ideal for beverages and cocktails.
  • Thick Ice (11-15 minutes): Recommended for beer buckets or whiskeys.

5.4 Timer Function

Press the TIMER button to set a reservation for the ice maker to start or stop at a specific time.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

6.1 Automatic Cleaning

The ice maker features a one-touch automatic cleaning function. Press the CLEAN button to initiate this cycle. It is recommended to run this function regularly, especially after initial setup and before extended periods of non-use.

6.2 Manual Cleaning

  1. Unplug the appliance from the power outlet.
  2. Drain any remaining water from the reservoir.
  3. Wipe down the interior and exterior surfaces with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  4. Clean the ice scoop and storage bin with warm, soapy water.
  5. Ensure all parts are dry before reassembling and operating the unit.

6.3 Water Filter Replacement
