4. Safety Information

Please read and understand all instructions before beginning installation. Failure to do so may result in electric shock, fire, or other injuries that could be hazardous or even fatal. Keep these instructions for future reference.

  • WARNING: Risk of electric shock. Disconnect power at the circuit breaker or fuse box before installation or servicing.

  • Use only UL/ETL listed wire connectors.
  • Do not exceed the maximum wattage specified for the bulb (60W).

  • Do not connect this fixture to an ungrounded electrical system.

5. Installation Guide

This fixture is designed for hardwired installation. It is recommended to have two people for installation.

5.1 Tools Required (Not Included)

5.2 Pre-Installation

  1. Turn off power at the circuit breaker or fuse box.
  2. Carefully unpack the fixture and components. Keep all parts on a clean surface.
  3. Review the included installation instructions diagram for specific component identification.

5.3 Assembly and Wiring

  1. Attach the mounting bracket to the junction box in the ceiling using the provided screws. Ensure it is securely fastened.
  2. Determine the desired hanging height. The fixture comes with 3 x 12" and 1 x 6" rods. You can combine these rods to achieve heights between 20" (using only the fixture body and canopy) and 57.1" (using all rods). Thread the wires through the chosen rods and connect them to the fixture body and canopy.
  3. Connect the electrical wires:
    • Connect the bare copper ground wire from the fixture to the green or bare copper ground wire from the junction box using a wire nut.
    • Connect the black wire from the fixture to the black (hot) wire from the junction box using a wire nut.
    • Connect the white wire from the fixture to the white (neutral) wire from the junction box using a wire nut.
    Ensure all connections are secure and no bare wire is exposed.
  4. Carefully tuck all wires into the junction box.
  5. Align the canopy with the mounting bracket screws and secure it with the decorative nuts.
  6. Install the E26 T10 LED Edison bulb (not included) into the socket.
  7. Gently attach the frosted glass shade to the fixture body, ensuring it is seated correctly and securely.

6. Operating Instructions

Once installed, operating your JAZAVA pendant light is straightforward:

  • Turn on the power at the circuit breaker.
  • Use your wall switch to turn the light fixture ON/OFF.
  • If a dimmable E26 T10 LED Edison bulb and a compatible dimmer switch are installed, you can adjust the light intensity to create your desired ambiance.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance will help preserve the appearance and functionality of your pendant light.

  • Cleaning: Always turn off the power before cleaning. Wipe the fixture with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or polishes as they may damage the finish or glass.
  • Bulb Replacement: Ensure the power is off and the bulb has cooled completely before attempting to replace it. Use only E26 T10 LED Edison bulbs with a maximum wattage of 60W.
  • Inspection: Periodically check all electrical connections and mounting hardware for tightness.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your pendant light, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
