2. Setup

2.1. Initial Power On and Battery

Your BENLYDESIGN X6000 watch comes with one LR44 battery pre-installed. The watch should be ready for use upon arrival. If the display is not active, gently press any button to activate it. If the watch does not respond, the battery may need to be checked or replaced (refer to Section 4.2 for battery replacement).

2.2. Adjusting the Watch Band

The stainless steel band of your X6000 watch is adjustable to ensure a comfortable fit. Each link is secured by spring bars, allowing for easy removal or addition of links. A small punch tool is typically included in the watch packaging for this purpose.

  1. Identify the pins on the side of the watch band links. These are the spring bars.
  2. Using the provided punch tool, gently press down on the end of the spring bar to release it from the link.
  3. Carefully remove the desired number of links from the band. It is recommended to remove an equal number of links from both sides of the clasp for balanced wear.
  4. Reassemble the band by inserting the spring bars back into the remaining links until they click securely into place.

If you are unsure about adjusting the band, it is recommended to seek assistance from a professional jeweler.

3.4. Water Resistance Guidelines

The BENLYDESIGN X6000 watch is rated for 3ATM (30 meters / 98 feet) water resistance. This rating signifies that the watch is suitable for daily use and can withstand splashes or brief exposure to rain. However, it is crucial to understand the limitations:

  • DO NOT wear the watch while swimming, showering, bathing, or diving.
  • Avoid exposing the watch to hot water or steam, as this can compromise the seals.
  • Do not operate buttons while the watch is wet or submerged.

4. Maintenance

4.1. Cleaning Your Watch

To maintain the appearance and longevity of your BENLYDESIGN X6000 watch:

  • Wipe the watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust, dirt, and fingerprints.
  • For stubborn marks on the stainless steel band, a slightly damp cloth with mild soap can be used, followed by thorough drying.
  • Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or solvents, as these can damage the watch's finish or seals.

4.2. Battery Replacement

The BENLYDESIGN X6000 uses one LR44 battery. When the display dims or the watch stops functioning, it's likely time for a battery replacement. While it is possible to replace the battery yourself, it is recommended to have it done by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.

If attempting replacement yourself:

  1. Carefully open the watch back using an appropriate watch case opener tool.
  2. Note the orientation of the existing LR44 battery before removing it.
  3. Insert a new LR44 battery with the correct polarity.
  4. Ensure the rubber gasket (O-ring) around the case back is clean and properly seated to maintain water resistance. Replace if damaged.
  5. Securely close the watch back.
