6. Installation Instructions

Professional installation is recommended. The following steps provide a general guide for replacing your vehicle's headlights.

  1. Prepare the Vehicle: Park the vehicle on a flat, stable surface. Engage the parking brake and turn off the engine. Disconnect the negative terminal of the vehicle's battery.
  2. Access Existing Headlights: Depending on your vehicle model, you may need to remove the front bumper, grille, or fender liners to access the headlight mounting bolts and electrical connectors. Refer to your vehicle's service manual for specific removal procedures.
  3. Remove Old Headlights: Disconnect all electrical connectors from the existing headlight assembly. Unscrew any mounting bolts or clips securing the headlight and carefully remove it from the vehicle.
  4. Install Bulbs (if not pre-installed): Insert the H9 high beam, H11 low beam, and 3157 turn signal bulbs into their respective sockets on the new G-PLUS headlight assembly. Ensure they are securely seated.
  5. Wiring the DRLs: The integrated LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) require connection to your vehicle's running lights. Locate the running light wires on your vehicle's existing wiring harness. Splice the red (positive) wire from the DRLs to the positive running light wire, and the black (negative) wire from the DRLs to the negative running light wire. Ensure connections are secure and insulated. This connection allows the DRLs to activate with your vehicle's running lights.
  6. Mount New Headlights: Carefully position the new G-PLUS headlight assembly into the vehicle's headlight opening. Secure it using the original mounting bolts and clips. Ensure the headlight is firmly in place and properly aligned.
  7. Connect Electrical: Reconnect all electrical connectors to the new headlight assembly, including the main power connector, high beam, low beam, turn signal, and DRL connections.
  8. Test Functionality: Reconnect the vehicle's battery. Turn on the vehicle's lights to test the high beams, low beams, turn signals, parking lights, and DRLs. Verify all functions are operating correctly.
  9. Adjust Headlight Aim: If necessary, adjust the headlight aim according to local regulations and for optimal visibility. Most headlights have adjustment screws (refer to Image 6.2).
  10. Reassemble Vehicle: Reinstall any removed bumper, grille, or fender liner components.

9. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
DRLs not illuminatingIncorrect wiring connection for DRLs.Verify DRL wiring (red to positive, black to negative) is correctly spliced to the vehicle's running lights. Ensure connections are secure.
Moisture inside headlight housingObstructed one-way vents or improper seal during installation.Check that the one-way vents are clear of debris. Ensure the headlight assembly is properly sealed and mounted to the vehicle. Small amounts of condensation may dissipate naturally through the vents. Persistent moisture may indicate a faulty seal.
Headlights appear to bounce or are unstableLoose mounting bolts or clips.Re-check all mounting points and ensure bolts and clips are tightened securely. Verify the housing is stable within the vehicle's frame.
Bulbs not workingIncorrect bulb type, faulty bulb, or loose electrical connection.Ensure the correct H9, H11, and 3157 bulbs are installed. Test bulbs for functionality. Check all electrical connections for tightness and proper contact.
