Gas (LPG) Operation

To operate the refrigerator on LPG:

  1. Ensure all valves between the gas container and the refrigerator are open.
  2. Set the rotary switch (F) on the control panel to the 'Gas' position.
  3. For Battery Ignition models:
    a. Depress the safety device control (C) and hold it down.
    b. While holding (C), depress the igniter switch (A).
    c. Check the flame indicator (B) to confirm the flame is lit.
    d. Keep the safety device control (C) depressed for an additional 10-15 seconds.
    e. Release the safety device control (C) and re-check the flame indicator. If the burner does not light after 4-5 attempts, turn off the gas, wait 5 minutes, and try again. If ignition still fails, contact a service provider. (Note: If the battery ignition fails to spark, the battery may need replacement.)
  4. For Piezo Igniter models:
    a. Push the ignition switch (E). You may hear a 'click' sound as the igniter pin sparks.
    b. Once the flame indicator (B) moves into the green area, release the igniter button (E).

  2. Ensure the refrigerator is properly connected to the respective power source.
  3. Adjust the thermostat knob (D) to your desired temperature setting.

Initial Cooling

After initial setup or switching on, the refrigerator may take approximately 4-5 hours to reach its optimal cooling temperature (32℉~50℉). Allow sufficient time for the unit to cool down before loading it with perishable items.

Maintenance

Cleaning

Regular cleaning helps maintain the refrigerator's efficiency and hygiene. Clean the interior with a mild detergent and warm water. Wipe down the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage surfaces. Ensure the door gasket is clean and free of debris to maintain a proper seal.

Defrosting

This refrigerator features an automatic defrost system, minimizing the need for manual defrosting. However, if excessive frost buildup occurs, manually defrost the unit by turning it off and leaving the door ajar until all ice melts. Clean and dry the interior thoroughly before restarting.

Gas System Checks

Periodically inspect the gas connections and lines for any signs of wear, damage, or leaks. Use a soapy water solution to check for gas leaks; bubbles indicate a leak. If a leak is detected, immediately turn off the gas supply and have the system inspected by a qualified technician.

Troubleshooting

  • Refrigerator Not Cooling:
    a. Check if the power source (LPG, 12V, or 110V) is properly connected and active.
    b. Ensure the mode switch is set correctly for the chosen power source.
    c. For LPG operation, verify the gas supply is open and the flame is lit (check flame indicator).
    d. Allow sufficient time for the unit to cool down, especially after initial startup.
  • Pilot Light Not Staying Lit (LPG):
    a. Ensure the safety device control is held down for the recommended 10-15 seconds after ignition.
    b. Check for adequate gas supply and pressure.
    c. The igniter battery might need replacement if using a battery ignition model.
  • Excessive Noise:
    a. This is an absorption refrigerator, designed for silent operation (0dB). If unusual noise occurs, ensure the unit is level and not vibrating against other surfaces.
  • Door Not Sealing Properly:
    a. Check the door gasket for cleanliness and damage. Clean or replace if necessary.
    b. Ensure the refrigerator is level.
