5. Setup and Installation
Installation should be performed by a qualified professional. Ensure all local plumbing and electrical codes are followed.
5.1 Site Selection
- Choose a sturdy wall capable of supporting the unit's weight (72.8 lbs empty, more when full).
- Ensure access to a potable cold water supply line and a grounded electrical outlet.
- Allow adequate space around the unit for ventilation and maintenance.
5.2 Mounting the Unit
- Mark the desired mounting height on the wall, ensuring ADA compliance if required.
- Securely attach the mounting bracket (included in the installation kit) to the wall using appropriate fasteners for your wall type.
- Carefully lift and hang the water fountain unit onto the mounted bracket. Ensure it is stable and level.
5.3 Water Connection
- Turn off the main water supply.
- Connect the water supply line to the unit using the provided tubing and connectors.
- Install the sediment and carbon block filters into their designated compartments. Refer to the filter replacement section for detailed instructions.
- Slowly turn on the main water supply and check for leaks.
- Flush the system by dispensing water for several minutes until clear.
5.4 Electrical Connection

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Dispensing Water (Touchless Sensor)
- For the water fountain, place your mouth near the fountain spout. The sensor will detect your presence and dispense water.
- For the bottle filler, place your bottle under the filling spout. The sensor will detect the bottle and begin dispensing water.
- Remove your hand or bottle to stop the water flow.

6.2 Digital Display
The digital display provides important information:
- Bottles Saved Counter: This counter tracks the number of single-use plastic bottles saved by using the bottle filler.
- Replace Filter Indicator: An indicator light will illuminate when it is time to replace the water filters.
7. Maintenance
7.1 Self-Cleaning Feature
The unit is equipped with a self-cleaning UV LED system that sanitizes the water contact areas. This feature operates automatically to maintain hygiene.
- The self-cleaning cycles run periodically.
- The UV LED is designed to last over 10,000 hours.
7.2 Filter Replacement
The dual filters (Sediment A5FILTER and Carbon Block A4FILTER) should be replaced every 6 months or after 1500 gallons, whichever comes first. The digital display will indicate when replacement is due.
- Turn off Water Supply: Locate the water shut-off valve for the unit and turn it off.
- Remove Faceplate: Gently remove the front faceplate of the unit to access the filter compartments.
- Remove Old Filters: Twist the old filters counter-clockwise to unlock and pull them out.
- Insert New Filters: Insert the new Avalon A5FILTER (Sediment) and A4FILTER (Carbon Block) into their respective slots. Twist clockwise to lock them into place.
- Replace Faceplate: Reattach the front faceplate.
- Restore Water Supply: Slowly turn the water supply back on.
- Flush Filters: Dispense water for several minutes to flush the new filters and remove any air bubbles or carbon fines.
- Reset Filter Indicator: Refer to the unit's specific instructions (if available on the unit itself) to reset the filter replacement indicator on the digital display.

7.3 Exterior Cleaning
