3. Setup and Installation
3.1 Unpacking and Placement
- Carefully unpack the rebar bending machine from its packaging.
- Due to its weight (approximately 326 pounds), ensure adequate lifting equipment or personnel are available for safe handling.
- Position the machine on a stable, level surface in your designated work area. The integrated moving wheels facilitate transportation.
3.2 Electrical Connection
As previously noted, the machine does not come with a power plug. Professional installation by a qualified electrician is required to ensure safe and correct operation.
- Ensure the main power supply to the installation area is turned off at the circuit breaker.
- Connect the machine's power cables directly to a dedicated 220V circuit breaker with sufficient capacity (minimum 19.2A, recommended higher for safety margin).
- Verify all connections are tight and properly insulated.
- Once connected, turn on the main power supply and proceed to initial testing.

4. Operation
4.1 Powering On/Off
- Ensure the machine is properly connected to the power supply.
- Locate the main power switch on the control panel (refer to Figure 3).
- Press the green 'ON' button to power on the machine. The CNC operating panel displays should illuminate.
- To power off, press the red 'OFF' button.
4.2 Setting Bending Angles
The machine allows for bending angles between 0° and 180°. The CNC operating panel (Figure 5) features controls for setting two distinct angles, which correspond to the two foot pedals.
- Use the '+' and '-' buttons on the CNC panel to set the desired angle for each foot pedal (e.g., one for 90°, another for 135° or 180°).
- The digital displays will show the currently set angles.

4.3 Loading and Bending Steel Bars
The machine is designed to bend Φ18-22mm steel bars, one bar at a time.
- Ensure the bending mechanism is clear of any debris.
- Adjust the spacing of the bending components according to the diameter of the steel bar to be bent. This ensures proper grip and accurate bending (refer to Figure 6).
- Place one steel bar onto the working disc, ensuring it is securely positioned against the baffle and stand column.
- Press the corresponding foot pedal for the desired bending angle. The machine will initiate the bending process.
- Once the bending is complete, release the foot pedal. The bending arm will return to its home position.
- Carefully remove the bent steel bar.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your TECHTONGDA Rebar Bender.
5.1 Daily Maintenance
- Clean the working disc and bending components of any rebar fragments or dust after each use.
- Inspect the power cord for any signs of damage.
5.2 Weekly Maintenance
- Check all bolts and fasteners for tightness and secure them if necessary.
- Inspect the moving parts for wear and tear.
- Apply a light coat of lubricant to moving joints and pivot points as recommended by general industrial machinery practices. Avoid over-lubrication.
5.3 Long-Term Storage
- If storing the machine for an extended period, ensure it is thoroughly cleaned and all metal surfaces are protected with a rust-inhibiting agent.
- Store in a dry, covered area to prevent corrosion.
6. Troubleshooting
This section provides solutions to common issues you might encounter with your rebar bending machine.
6.1 Machine Does Not Power On
- Check Power Supply: Ensure the machine is properly connected to a 220V power source and the circuit breaker is not tripped.
- Main Switch: Verify the main power switch on the control panel is in the 'ON' position.
- Internal Wiring: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, consult a qualified electrician to inspect internal wiring.
6.2 Motor Runs But No Bending Action
- Foot Pedal Activation: Ensure the foot pedal is fully depressed.
- Angle Settings: Check the CNC panel to ensure a valid bending angle is set.
- Mechanical Obstruction: Inspect the bending mechanism for any foreign objects or debris that might be preventing movement.
6.3 Inaccurate Bending Angles
- Rebar Diameter: Ensure the steel bar diameter is within the specified range (Φ18-22mm).
- Component Adjustment: Verify that the bending components are correctly adjusted for the rebar thickness.
- Calibration: If persistent inaccuracies occur, the machine may require recalibration by a service technician.
