1. Introduction

The SmartSF Wireless Security Camera System provides comprehensive video surveillance for indoor and outdoor environments. This system includes an 8-channel Network Video Recorder (NVR) with a pre-installed 3TB hard drive and four 5MP Full HD wireless cameras. Designed for ease of use, the system offers 24/7 recording, customizable schedules, advanced night vision, motion detection, and remote access capabilities via a dedicated mobile application.

3. Setup

3.1 NVR Setup

  1. Connect the NVR power adapter to the NVR and a power outlet.
  2. Connect the HDMI cable from the NVR to your PC/TV monitor.
  3. Connect the USB mouse to the NVR's USB port.
  4. For remote access, connect the Ethernet cable from the NVR to your router.

3.2 Camera Installation

The wireless cameras are pre-paired with the NVR at the factory for plug-and-play convenience. Each camera requires a power outlet for continuous operation.

  1. Select suitable locations for your cameras, ensuring they are within range of a power outlet and have a clear view of the desired surveillance area.
  2. Use the provided mounting hardware to securely attach each camera to the chosen surface.
  3. Connect each camera to its respective power adapter and plug it into a power outlet.
  4. Adjust the camera's angle to cover the desired area. Note that the camera's viewing angle is fixed once installed.

3.3 Mobile App Setup

To access your camera system remotely, download the free mobile application (TSEye) from your device's app store (iOS & Android).

  1. Download and install the TSEye app on your smartphone or tablet.
  2. Open the app and register an account if you are a new user.
  3. On your NVR's display, navigate to the Cloud settings to find the QR code for device ID.
  4. In the TSEye app, select 'Add Device' and use the scan function to scan the QR code displayed on your NVR monitor.
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the device addition and name your cameras for easy identification.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Live View

Once the NVR and cameras are set up, you can view live footage on your connected monitor or through the mobile app. The NVR supports an 8-channel display, allowing you to view all cameras simultaneously or select individual feeds.

4.2 Recording

The system defaults to 24/7 continuous recording. You can customize recording schedules via the NVR interface to suit your specific needs. The 3TB hard drive provides ample storage for extensive footage.

4.3 Motion Detection

The cameras are equipped with human detection capabilities. When motion is detected, the system can send instant alerts to your mobile app, email, or trigger a buzzer on the NVR. Sensitivity settings can be adjusted to minimize false alarms.

4.4 Night Vision

The 5MP cameras offer long-range night vision up to 65 feet, ensuring clear video capture even in low-light or complete darkness. This feature enhances security during nighttime hours.

4.5 Remote Access

Access live video and playback recordings from anywhere using the free mobile app (TSEye) on iOS and Android devices, or the PC client. An internet connection is required for remote access from mobile devices.

5. Maintenance

  • Regular Cleaning: Periodically clean camera lenses with a soft, dry cloth to ensure clear image quality.
  • Firmware Updates: Check the manufacturer's website or app for available firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Connection Check: Ensure all power and network cables are securely connected to prevent interruptions in surveillance.
  • Hard Drive Management: The 3TB HDD provides extensive storage. Regularly review and back up important footage as needed.

6. Troubleshooting

  • No Video Feed: Ensure all cameras and the NVR are powered on and connected correctly. Check HDMI and Ethernet connections.
  • Network Error on NVR: Verify the Ethernet cable is securely connected to both the NVR and the router. Check router status.
  • Remote Access Issues: Confirm your NVR is connected to the internet. Ensure the mobile app is updated and the device ID is correctly entered.
  • False Motion Alerts: Adjust the motion detection sensitivity settings in the NVR interface or mobile app.
  • Poor Night Vision: Ensure the camera lens is clean and there are no obstructions blocking the infrared lights.
