Setup
1. Charging the Device
Before first use, fully charge your Phantom 3 Slope. Connect the provided charger to the device and a power source. The battery indicator on the screen will show charging progress. A full charge provides approximately 14 hours of battery life.
2. Powering On/Off
To power on the device, press and hold the power button until the screen illuminates. To power off, press and hold the power button until the shutdown prompt appears, then confirm.
3. Initial Setup and Course Recognition
Upon powering on, the device will automatically begin searching for nearby golf courses. Ensure you are outdoors with a clear view of the sky for optimal GPS signal acquisition. The device will list available courses; select your desired course from the touchscreen display.
Operating Instructions
1. Understanding Distances
The Phantom 3 Slope provides accurate distances to the front, center, and back of the green. The large numerical display shows the primary distance (typically center), with front and back distances also visible. The device features patented slope compensated distances, which adjust yardage based on elevation changes for more precise shot planning.
2. Touchscreen Interface
Navigate through menus and features using the intuitive touchscreen display. Tap to select options, swipe to scroll, and use the on-screen arrows for fine adjustments, suchs as moving the pin placement on the GreenView.
3. GreenView with Moveable Pin Placement
Access the GreenView feature to see the shape of the green and adjust the pin location for more accurate distances to the day's pin position. Simply tap and drag the pin icon on the green graphic to its approximate location.
4. BITE Magnetic Cart Mount
The integrated BITE magnetic cart mount allows for convenient attachment of the device to a golf cart frame or other metallic surfaces. Ensure the device is securely attached before moving the cart.
Maintenance
