The case offers dual functionality, allowing use with or without the screen, making it suitable for various DIY applications.

Setup Instructions

Physical Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble your GeeekPi 3.5-inch HDMI Touch Screen with Case and Active Cooler:

  1. Prepare the Raspberry Pi 5: Ensure your Raspberry Pi 5 board is ready for installation.
  2. Install the Active Cooler: Attach the official Raspberry Pi 5 active cooler to your Raspberry Pi 5 board.
  3. Place Raspberry Pi in Bottom Case: Carefully place the Raspberry Pi 5 board (with cooler installed) into the bottom section of the ABS case.
  4. Install the 3.5-inch Touch Screen:
    • Align the 3.5-inch resistive touch screen with the fixed frame.
    • Carefully align the display with the first hole on the Raspberry Pi's GPIO pins and gently press down to secure it. Ensure all pins are correctly seated.
    • Place the fixed frame over the screen.
  5. Secure the Case: Close the case using the provided self-tapping screws.
  6. Apply Rubber Feet: Attach the anti-slippery rubber feet to the bottom of the case for stability.

Operating Instructions

Once assembled and configured, the GeeekPi 3.5-inch display provides a compact interface for your Raspberry Pi.

  1. Power On: Connect the USB-C power supply to your Raspberry Pi 5. The display should power on automatically.
  2. Touch Functionality: Use the provided resistive touch pen for precise interaction with the screen. The screen supports resistive touch input.
  3. Display Performance: The display supports up to 60 FPS via the HDMI port. When using the SPI interface, the refresh rate is typically 50 FPS.
