4. Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the dehumidifier from its packaging. Remove all packing materials and ensure no components are missing or damaged.
- Positioning: Place the dehumidifier on a firm, level surface in the area where dehumidification is needed. Ensure there is at least 8 inches (20 cm) of space around the unit for proper air circulation. Do not block the air inlet or outlet.
- Initial Standby: If the unit was transported on its side, allow it to stand upright for a minimum of 24 hours before plugging it in. This allows the refrigerant to settle.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
- Drainage Options:
- Manual Drainage (Bucket): The unit will collect water in its internal water tank. When the tank is full, the unit will automatically shut off and indicate that the tank needs emptying.
- Continuous Drainage (Hose): For continuous operation without manual emptying, connect the provided drain hose to the continuous drain outlet at the back of the unit. Ensure the hose is sloped downwards to allow gravity drainage into a floor drain or larger container. Remove the water plug from the continuous drain outlet before connecting the hose.
