2. Setup Guide
2.1 Package Contents
Before proceeding, ensure all items are present in your package:
- Quansheng UVK5 Radio Unit
- Antenna
- Battery Pack (4 product-specific batteries included)

- Hand String
2.2 Battery Installation and Charging
- Install the Battery: Align the battery pack with the grooves on the back of the radio and slide it upwards until it clicks into place.
- Charge the Battery:
- Using the Charger Base: Place the radio with the battery installed into the charger base. Ensure the charging contacts align. The indicator light on the charger will show the charging status.
- Using Type-C Cable: Connect the Type-C cable to the charging port on the side of the radio and plug the other end into a compatible USB power source.
It is recommended to fully charge the battery before first use.
2.3 Antenna Attachment
Screw the antenna clockwise into the connector on the top of the radio until it is finger-tight. Do not overtighten.

- Transmitting: Press and hold the PTT key to transmit. Speak clearly into the microphone. Release the PTT key to receive.
