Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to properly install your Carpuride W603D unit on your motorcycle.
- Mounting the Unit:
- Choose appropriate silicone pads based on your motorcycle's handlebar diameter (15mm, 20mm, 22mm, 25.4mm, or 28mm).
- Attach the metal mount to the handlebar using a Phillips screwdriver.
- Clamp the connecting rod to the metal mount.
- Insert the device and adjust its position as desired. Tighten the adjustment ring to secure. The mount allows for 360° adjustment.
- Power Connection:
- The W603D is powered by connecting the power cord directly to your motorcycle's battery.
- Connect the red power wire to the motorcycle battery's positive terminal.
- Connect the black ground wire to the motorcycle battery's negative terminal.
- Note: The Type-C port on the W603D is for manufacturer software debugging only and does not support powering the screen. USB boost cable power is not supported.
- Camera and Wired Controller Connection:
- Connect the front camera cable to the designated port on the W603D.
- Connect the rear camera cable to its designated port.
- Connect the wired controller cable to its port. The wired controller is detachable.

Operating Instructions

Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto
Connect your smartphone wirelessly to access navigation, calls, and music directly on the W603D screen.
- For Wireless CarPlay: Requires an iPhone running iOS 6 or above, CarPlay system support, and Siri enabled.
- For Wireless Android Auto: Requires a phone that supports 5GHz Wi-Fi, running Android 11 or above, and the latest Android Auto app version.
- Pair your phone to the W603D via Bluetooth, then the unit will prompt you to connect via Wi-Fi for CarPlay/Android Auto functionality.

BT Audio
Enhance your riding experience with Bluetooth audio connectivity.
- Connect your phone to your Bluetooth headset or helmet.
- After your phone is connected to the W603D via Bluetooth, you can enter CarPlay or Android Auto and play audio or make calls through your BT headsets or helmets.
- Note: Ensure your Bluetooth headset or helmet has microphones for phone calls and voice controls.

Wired Controller Functions
The wired controller provides convenient access to key functions without touching the screen.
- Switch between rear camera screen, home page, and current interface by clicking the button.
- Answer phone calls.
- Take photos.
- Lock video recordings.
- Note: When an Android phone is connected to the W603D, the cycle button does not support answering incoming calls.
Dual Camera DVR Loop Recording
The integrated dual cameras provide continuous recording for safety and documentation.
- Equipped with HD 1080P 30FPS 140° wide-angle front and rear cameras.
- Supports split-screen display for simultaneous viewing of front and rear camera feeds.
- Includes a 64GB TF card. When the card is full, it automatically deletes older videos to continue recording (loop recording).

Voice Control
Utilize voice commands for hands-free operation.
- Supports Google Voice and Siri for full control without releasing the handlebars.
- Wake up navigation, make calls, and control music using voice commands.

Maintenance
Proper care and maintenance will ensure the longevity of your Carpuride W603D.
- Waterproof Design: The IP67 rating ensures protection against dust and water immersion. No special maintenance is required for waterproofing, but avoid prolonged submersion.
- Temperature Range: The unit is designed to operate perfectly in temperatures ranging from -20°C to 80°C. Avoid storing or operating outside this range.
- TF Card Usage: The included 64GB TF card is primarily for loop recording videos and images. It does not support software upgrades.
- Software Updates: To update the software, use a smaller capacity TF card (4GB, 8GB, 16GB, or 32GB). Do not use the 64GB accessory card for software updates.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the screen and unit. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter.
- Unit Not Powering On:
- Ensure the power cord is correctly connected to the motorcycle battery's positive and negative terminals.
- Verify the motorcycle battery has sufficient charge.
- Remember, the Type-C port does not provide power to the unit.
- CarPlay/Android Auto Connection Issues:
- Check your phone's compatibility (iOS 6+ for CarPlay, Android 11+ with 5GHz Wi-Fi for Android Auto).
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on both the phone and the W603D.
- Confirm Wi-Fi is enabled on your phone for the CarPlay/Android Auto connection.
- For CarPlay, ensure Siri is enabled on your iPhone.
- Some Android phone models may not be perfectly compatible (refer to Figure 5 for a list of known incompatible models).
- Wired Controller Not Answering Calls (Android):
- This is a known limitation: the wired controller's cycle button does not support answering incoming calls when an Android phone is connected.
- TF Card Full / Recording Stops:
- The unit features loop recording, automatically overwriting the oldest files when the 64GB TF card is full. This is normal operation.
- Software Update Issues:
- Ensure you are using a smaller capacity TF card (4GB, 8GB, 16GB, or 32GB) for software updates. The 64GB accessory card is not supported for this purpose.
