5. Adjustments

The AMEYXGS E8 Compound Bow offers adjustable draw length and draw weight to customize it to your preference without the need for a bow press.

5.1. Draw Length Adjustment

The draw length can be adjusted from 19 to 30 inches in 0.5-inch increments. This adjustment is made directly on the cam module.

  1. Locate the draw length module on the cam.
  2. Using an appropriate hex key, loosen the screw(s) securing the module.
  3. Rotate the module to align the desired draw length setting with the indicator mark.
  4. Securely tighten the screw(s) to lock the module in place. Ensure it is firmly seated before use.

5.2. Draw Weight Adjustment

The draw weight can be adjusted from 19 to 70 lbs. This is achieved by turning the limb bolts.

  1. Identify the limb bolts located at the top and bottom of the riser, where the limbs attach.
  2. To increase draw weight, turn both limb bolts clockwise. Each full turn typically adjusts the weight by 3-5 lbs.
  3. To decrease draw weight, turn both limb bolts counter-clockwise.
  4. Ensure both limb bolts are turned an equal number of turns to maintain even limb tension. Do not exceed the maximum recommended turns for loosening (consult the bow's markings or contact support if unsure).

Once your bow is properly set up and adjusted, you can begin shooting. Always practice in a safe and designated archery area.

  1. Stance: Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, perpendicular to the target.
  2. Nock the Arrow: Place the arrow on the arrow rest and attach the nock to the bowstring. Ensure the fletching is correctly oriented.
  3. Grip: Hold the bow grip firmly but relaxed, allowing the bow to pivot slightly in your hand.
  4. Draw the Bow: Using your back muscles, smoothly draw the bowstring back to your anchor point.
  5. Aim: Use your sight to align with the target.
  6. Release: Execute a smooth and consistent release, either with a finger tab or a mechanical release aid.
  7. Follow Through: Maintain your shooting form until the arrow hits the target.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance will prolong the life of your AMEYXGS E8 Compound Bow and ensure optimal performance.

  • String and Cable Waxing: Regularly apply bowstring wax to the main string and cables to protect them from wear and weather. Follow the wax manufacturer's instructions.
  • Limb Inspection: Periodically check the limbs for any cracks, splinters, or delamination.
  • Cam Inspection: Ensure cams rotate freely and are free of debris. Check for any unusual wear on the cam grooves.
  • Fastener Check: Regularly check all screws and bolts (e.g., limb bolts, accessory mounting screws) for tightness. Do not overtighten.
