Setup and Installation

The SMARTSTANDARD barn door is designed for easy assembly and installation. Follow these steps carefully.

2. Wall Preparation and Track Installation

Measure and mark the installation points on your wall. A minimum of 6 inches clearance is needed above the top of the door. The track length for this model is 6 feet. Ensure the track is level and securely mounted to wall studs or appropriate anchors.

3. Hanger and Handle Installation

Attach the hangers to the top of the assembled door using the pre-drilled holes. Install the double-sided handle on the door, again utilizing the pre-drilled holes for a secure fit.

4. Mounting the Door to the Track

Carefully lift the door and hook the hangers onto the installed track. Install the anti-jump disks on the top edge of the door to prevent it from lifting off the track. Position the door stops at the desired open and closed positions on the track.

5. Floor Guide Installation

Install the floor guide (either wall-mounted or T-shape) to keep the bottom of the door stable and prevent it from swinging out. The door has a pre-made groove at the bottom designed to work with the floor guide.

Operating Instructions

To open or close the barn door, gently grasp the handle and slide the door along the track. The hangers are designed to glide smoothly and quietly. The floor guide will keep the bottom of the door aligned during movement.

  • Avoid forcing the door if it encounters resistance. Check for obstructions on the track or floor guide.
  • Ensure the door stops are correctly positioned to prevent the door from sliding too far.

Care and Maintenance

Regular maintenance will ensure the longevity and smooth operation of your barn door.

  • Track and Rollers: Periodically inspect the track and rollers for any debris or dust. Clean them with a dry cloth to ensure smooth gliding. Lubricate rollers if necessary with a silicone-based lubricant.
