Operating Instructions
Using the Trundle Bed
The trundle bed is designed for convenient extra sleeping space. To use, gently pull the trundle frame from underneath the main bed. The wheels allow for smooth extension. To store, push the trundle back underneath the main bed until it is fully concealed.
Mattress Placement
For the main platform bed, a mattress thickness of 8-10 inches is recommended. For the trundle bed, a mattress thickness of 6 inches is recommended to ensure it fits properly underneath the main bed when stored.
Maintenance
Cleaning
- Fabric Upholstery: Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Blot dry immediately. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Wood Components: Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid excessive moisture.
General Care
- Periodically check all bolts and screws to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten as necessary to maintain stability.
- Avoid dragging the bed when moving it; lift it to prevent damage to the frame and flooring.
- Do not jump on the bed or trundle, as this can compromise the structural integrity.
Troubleshooting
- Squeaking Noises: Check all connections and tighten any loose bolts or screws. Ensure slats are properly seated.
- Trundle Not Sliding Smoothly: Check for obstructions underneath the main bed. Ensure trundle wheels are clean and free of debris. Verify that the trundle frame is assembled correctly and not warped.
- Instability: Re-check all assembly steps. Ensure all hardware is fully tightened. Verify that the bed is placed on a flat, even surface.
