Installation Guide
Before beginning installation, ensure the power is switched OFF at the circuit breaker to prevent electrical shock. This fixture requires a 120 V AC, 60 Hz power source.
- Prepare Mounting Unit: Rotate the bolts (DD) counterclockwise to uninstall the mounting unit (A) from the light fixture (B).
- Mounting: Install the mounting unit (A) to your junction box using the provided mounting screws (CC).
- Wire Connections:
- Connect the green (ground) wire from the junction box to the mounting unit (A) by wrapping it around the green ground bolt (BB).
- Splice the fixture's ground wire (AA) to the ground wire from the junction box.
- Connect the white (neutral) wire from the fixture to the white (neutral) wire from the junction box using a wire nut.
- Connect the black (live) wire from the fixture to the black (live) wire from the junction box using a wire nut.
- Secure Fixture: Attach the light fixture (B) to the mounting unit (A) using the bolts and plastic washer. Ensure all bolts are securely tightened.
- Seal (Optional for Outdoor): For outdoor installations, apply clear silicone water sealant (not supplied) around the outside perimeter of the fixture canopy to prevent water intrusion.
Operating Modes
The motion sensor ceiling light offers four smart lighting modes, adjustable via controls on the fixture:
- Auto Mode: The light illuminates for 5-180 seconds when motion is detected. This mode operates only at night, providing energy-saving security.
- DTD Mode (Dusk-to-Dawn): Provides continuous illumination from dusk until dawn, ideal for consistent night lighting.
- Manual Override Mode: The light stays on for 5.5 hours after a quick OFF-ON switch toggle. It will automatically turn off at dawn and revert to Auto Mode.
- ON Mode: The light remains constantly on, day and night. This mode is controlled by an external wall switch, offering ultimate flexibility for continuous lighting.
Maintenance
To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your LED light, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Regularly wipe the fixture with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that may damage the finish or plastic shade.
- Inspection: Periodically check all electrical connections and mounting screws to ensure they remain secure.
- LED Lifespan: The integrated LED chips are designed for over 5 years of use and do not require replacement.
- Silicone Seal (Outdoor): If a silicone seal was applied during installation, inspect it annually for cracks or deterioration and reapply if necessary to maintain waterproof integrity.
Troubleshooting
