3. Setup and Installation

The V7 Radar Detector is designed for easy installation and independent operation within your vehicle.

3.1 Mounting the Device

Place the anti-slip mat on a flat, stable surface on your dashboard, ensuring it does not obstruct your view or interfere with vehicle controls. Position the radar detector on the anti-slip mat.

3.2 Power Connection

Connect the provided car charger to the Mini USB or DC charging port on the radar detector. Plug the other end of the car charger into your vehicle's 12V power socket (cigarette lighter outlet). The device will power on automatically once connected.

• "UP" Button:
  • Short press: Increases the volume of voice prompts.
• "MENU" Button:
  • Short press: Increases the display brightness.
  • Press and hold for approximately 10 seconds: Switches the display language between English and Russian.
  • Short press (when in City/Highway mode): Toggles between City mode and Highway mode. Highway mode is the default setting.
• "DN" Button:
  • Short press: Decreases the volume of voice prompts.
  • Short press: Toggles between City mode and Highway mode.
  • Press and hold for over 5 seconds: Switches the display language between English and Russian.
  • Note: If the device is in mute state, pressing "DN" will restore voice prompts.

4.1 Mute Settings

To mute the signal sound while still showing the detection on the display screen, short press both the "UP" and "DN" buttons simultaneously. To restore vocal alerting when a signal is received, press the "DN" button shortly.

4.2 Voice Reminder Mode

If the device is in mute mode, re-plugging the product on the car charger will restore it to the voice reminder mode.
