Operating Instructions

Basic Operation

  • Power On/Off: The dash cam will automatically power on and begin recording when your vehicle's ignition is turned on. It will power off automatically when the ignition is turned off. You can also manually power on/off by pressing and holding the power button.
  • Recording: Once powered on, the dash cam automatically starts loop recording. A red dot indicator on the screen signifies active recording.
  • Emergency Lock: During recording, if the built-in G-sensor detects a sudden shake or collision, the current video segment will be automatically locked and saved to prevent overwriting. You can also manually lock a video by pressing the lock icon on the touchscreen.

Touchscreen Navigation

The GD10 features a 3-inch IPS touchscreen for intuitive control. Tap icons to access menus, change settings, view playback, and manage recordings.

GPS Functionality

The built-in GPS module records your driving route, real-time speed, and location data. This information is embedded in the video files. To view GPS data:

  • Connect the dash cam to your computer using a Type-C cable.
  • Access the "GXPlayer" software (usually found on the SD card or downloadable from the manufacturer's website).
  • Play back the videos through GXPlayer to see your route on a map, speed, and other relevant GPS information.

Parking Mode (24-Hour Monitoring)

The GD10 supports 24-hour parking monitoring. To activate this feature, a separate Hardwire Kit (not included) is required for continuous power supply to the dash cam when the vehicle is off. Once connected, the dash cam can:

  • G-sensor Mode: Automatically record and lock video if a collision or impact is detected while parked.
  • Time Lapse Mode: Continuously record at a low frame rate to save storage space, capturing events over a long period.

Loop Recording

The dash cam records video in continuous loops (e.g., 1, 3, or 5-minute segments). When the SD card is full, the oldest unlocked video files will be automatically overwritten by new recordings. This ensures continuous recording without manual intervention.

Maintenance

SD Card Management

  • Formatting: It is recommended to format the Micro SD card once a month to maintain optimal performance and prevent data corruption. This can be done through the dash cam's settings menu.
  • Replacement: If the SD card shows signs of degradation (e.g., recording errors, freezing), replace it with a new U3/Class10 compatible card.

Cleaning

  • Gently wipe the camera lenses with a soft, lint-free cloth to ensure clear recordings.
  • Clean the dash cam body with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
