Setup and Initial Use

Charging the Clipper:

  1. Connect the power adapter to the charging stand.

  3. Place the clipper onto the charging stand. Ensure the clipper is seated correctly and the charging indicator light illuminates.
  4. Allow the clipper to charge fully before its first use. A full charge typically takes approximately 90 minutes and provides up to 1.5 hours of run time.

Blade Adjustment:

The Phaze Blade is adjustable, allowing for cutting lengths from 0000 (closest cut) to 0A (longer cut). Use the taper lever on the side of the clipper to adjust the blade. Moving the lever up shortens the cut, and moving it down lengthens it.

Operating Instructions

General Hair Cutting:

  1. Ensure hair is clean and dry before cutting.
  2. Apply a small amount of blade oil to the clipper blades before each use. Turn the clipper on for a few seconds to distribute the oil.
  3. Select the desired cutting length using the taper lever or by attaching a guide comb.
  4. Hold the clipper firmly and move it against the direction of hair growth. Use smooth, overlapping strokes.
  5. For blending, gradually adjust the taper lever or switch to different guide combs.
  6. Regularly clear accumulated hair from the blades during use to maintain optimal performance.

Corded Operation:

The clipper can be operated directly from the power adapter if the battery is low or if preferred. Simply plug the power adapter into the clipper and an electrical outlet. The clipper will run while charging.

Maintenance and Care

Cleaning the Blades:

  1. After each use, turn off and unplug the clipper.
  2. Use the provided cleaning brush to remove loose hair from the blades and the clipper housing.
  3. For a more thorough cleaning, the blade set can be carefully removed. Refer to the Andis website or authorized service center for detailed blade removal instructions if needed.

Oiling the Blades:

To ensure optimal cutting performance and extend blade life, oil the blades before and after each use. Apply 2-3 drops of Andis clipper oil across the top of the blade teeth and 1 drop on each side of the blade heel. Turn the clipper on for a few seconds to allow the oil to penetrate.

Storage:

Store the clipper in a cool, dry place, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Always ensure the clipper is clean and oiled before storing.
