4. Setup
4.1 Initial Charging
Before first use, ensure the device is fully charged. The SEMPER PLUS 5 uses a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery.
- Connect the USB charging cable to the device's charging port (located on the side/rear).
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to the provided power adapter.
- Plug the power adapter into a suitable electrical outlet.
- The battery indicator on the LCD screen will show charging status. Charge until the battery icon indicates full charge.

4.2 Electrode Connection
- Ensure the device is turned off before connecting electrodes.
- Attach the electrode cables to the output channels (CH1 and CH2) on the top of the device.
- Connect the self-adhesive electrodes to the 2mm pin connectors on the electrode cables.
- Peel the protective film from the electrodes and apply them firmly to clean, dry skin in the desired treatment area. Refer to a therapeutic guide or your healthcare professional for proper electrode placement.
5. Operating Instructions
The SEMPER PLUS 5 offers 5 current types and 120 programs for diverse therapeutic needs.

5.1 Powering On/Off
- To turn on: Press and hold the 'S' (Start/Stop) button until the screen illuminates.
- To turn off: Press and hold the 'S' button until the screen turns off.
5.2 Program Selection
The device offers 120 programs, categorized into preset and free programming modes.
- After powering on, press the 'M' (Mode) button to cycle through the 5 current types (TENS, EMS, IF, RUSA, MIC).
- Once a current type is selected, press the 'P' (Program) button to select a specific program number within that current type.
- For free programming modes (available in EMS and RUSA), you can adjust parameters such as ramp-up time, muscle contraction time, ramp-down time, and rest time using the 'T/II' button and channel intensity buttons.

5.3 Adjusting Intensity and Time
- Use the '+' and '-' buttons for CH1 and CH2 to adjust the intensity for each channel independently. Start with a low intensity and gradually increase until a comfortable sensation is felt.
- Press the 'T/II' button to adjust the treatment duration (5-90 minutes, adjustable).
5.4 Starting and Stopping Treatment
- To start treatment: After selecting the program and adjusting intensity/time, press the 'S' (Start/Stop) button.
- To stop treatment: Press the 'S' button again.
