This manual provides detailed instructions for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your FoMup Electric Cigar Humidor Cabinet. 2. Safety Information

  • Ensure the humidor is placed on a stable, level surface to prevent tipping.
  • Allow adequate ventilation around the unit (at least 4 inches from walls or other appliances).
  • Do not block the air vents on the back or sides of the unit.
  • Keep the power cord away from heat sources and sharp edges.
  • Unplug the unit before cleaning or performing any maintenance.
  • The humidor is equipped with a safety lock to prevent unauthorized access, especially by children. Keep the key in a secure location.
  • Do not store flammable or explosive materials inside the humidor.

4. Setup Instructions

4.1. Unpacking

  1. Carefully remove the humidor from its packaging.
  2. Inspect the unit for any shipping damage. If damaged, contact customer support immediately.
  3. Remove all internal packing materials, including tape and protective films.

4.2. Placement

  • Place the humidor on a firm, level surface that can support its weight.
  • Ensure there is at least 4 inches (10 cm) of space on the back and sides for proper air circulation.
  • Avoid direct sunlight, heat sources, or areas with extreme temperature fluctuations.
  • Adjust the adjustable feet at the bottom of the unit to ensure it is perfectly level.

4.3. Initial Seasoning (Important)

Before storing cigars, the Spanish cedar wood interior must be seasoned to prevent it from absorbing moisture from your cigars.

  1. Fill the water box with distilled water. Ensure the sponge is fully saturated but not overflowing.
  2. Place the filled water box back into its designated slot.
  3. Close the humidor door and plug in the unit.
  4. Set the humidity to 70% and temperature to 68°F (20°C).
  5. Allow the humidor to run for at least 24-48 hours without cigars to allow the cedar to absorb moisture and stabilize the internal environment.
  6. Monitor the humidity levels during this period. If it drops significantly, refill the water box.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Powering On/Off

  • Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
  • Press the Power button (symbol: power icon) on the digital touch panel to turn the unit on or off.

5.2. Setting Temperature and Humidity

  • Press the Power button briefly to toggle between temperature and humidity setting modes.
  • Use the Increase (symbol: up arrow) and Decrease (symbol: down arrow) buttons to adjust the desired temperature (59°F - 72°F) or humidity (60% - 75%).
  • The display will show the current internal temperature and humidity.

5.3. Temperature Unit Toggle

  • Press the Light/Celsius and Fahrenheit toggle button (symbol: light/°C/°F icon) to switch the temperature display between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F).

5.4. Internal Light Control

  • Press the Light/Celsius and Fahrenheit toggle button (symbol: light/°C/°F icon) to turn the internal blue ambient light on or off.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Cleaning the Humidor

  • Always unplug the unit before cleaning.
  • Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • For the interior, use a clean, slightly damp cloth. Avoid using soap or chemical cleaners, as these can affect the cedar wood and cigar aroma.
  • Clean the water box regularly to prevent mold or mildew growth. Use distilled water only.
  • Ensure all surfaces are dry before plugging the unit back in.

6.2. Refilling the Water Box

  • Regularly check the water level in the water box.
  • When the water level is low, carefully remove the water box.
  • Refill with distilled water only. Tap water contains minerals that can leave deposits and promote mold.
  • Ensure the sponge is moist but not dripping before returning the water box to the humidor.

6.3. Spanish Cedar Wood Care

  • Do not use any oils or polishes on the cedar wood, as this can impede its natural humidification properties.
  • If the cedar shelves or drawers appear dry, ensure the humidor's humidity is set correctly and the water box is full.
