1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing the Motovecor Universal SUV Camping Tent. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient use, setup, and maintenance of your new tent. Please read these instructions carefully before assembly and use, and retain them for future reference.
This tent is designed for versatility, offering a spacious shelter that can attach to various SUVs, vans, jeeps, and trucks with a rear door, or be used as a standalone ground tent. It features a 4000mm waterproof coating, UPF 50+ silver fabric for UV protection, and robust construction for durability in outdoor conditions.
2. Safety Information
- Fire Safety: Keep all flame and heat sources away from this tent fabric. The tent is made of flame-resistant fabric, but it is not fireproof.
- Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation to prevent condensation and maintain air quality, especially when using heating or cooking equipment (which should ideally be used outside the tent).
- Weather Conditions: While designed for 4-season use and 4000mm waterproof, extreme weather conditions (heavy snow, strong winds, severe thunderstorms) can damage the tent and pose safety risks. Seek alternative shelter in such conditions.
- Assembly: Assembly is recommended for two people to ensure stability and ease of setup. Follow all setup instructions carefully.
- Anchoring: Always properly anchor the tent using all provided ropes and stakes to prevent it from being lifted or damaged by wind.
- Site Selection: Choose a level, clear site free from sharp objects, overhanging branches, and potential flood areas.

4. Setup Instructions
For optimal setup, it is recommended that two people assemble the tent. Allow approximately 30 minutes for initial setup.
4.1. Attaching to a Vehicle
- Prepare the Vehicle: Park your SUV, van, jeep, or truck with the rear door facing the desired tent location. Open the rear door/tailgate.
- Unfold the Tent: Lay the tent body flat on the ground behind your vehicle, ensuring the vehicle attachment sleeve is aligned with the rear of your vehicle.
- Insert Main Poles: Assemble the two long fiberglass poles. Guide these poles through the main support sleeves of the tent, forming the primary arch structure.
- Attach to Vehicle: Carefully pull the vehicle attachment sleeve over the rear of your vehicle. Secure it using the adjustable sleeve straps around the vehicle's tire and roof rack (if applicable) to create a bug-free and watertight fit.
- Open Tailgate: Once the sleeve is secured, open the vehicle's tailgate fully to integrate the vehicle space with the tent interior.
- Insert Secondary Poles: Assemble the five short fiberglass poles and insert them into their designated sleeves to provide additional structure and shape to the tent.
- Set Up Awning: Assemble the two awning boom poles. Position them to support the large awning, extending the shaded area. Secure the awning with wind ropes and steel nails.
- Stake and Guy Out: Secure the tent to the ground using the extra-large steel nails and wind ropes at all designated anchor points. Ensure the tent is taut and stable.

4.2. Standalone Ground Tent Setup
The Motovecor SUV Camping Tent can also be used independently as a ground tent.
- Assemble Tent Structure: Follow steps 2, 3, and 6 from the "Attaching to a Vehicle" section to erect the main tent body and secondary poles.
- Close Vehicle Sleeve: At the rear of the tent, where the vehicle attachment sleeve would normally connect, utilize the integrated cinch cords. Tighten the drawstring closure securely to seal off the opening, transforming it into a closed tent wall.
- Set Up Awning (Optional): If desired, set up the awning as described in step 7 of the vehicle attachment instructions.
- Stake and Guy Out: Secure the tent to the ground using all provided stakes and wind ropes.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Doors and Ventilation
The tent features three doors on the sides of the main section and multiple multi-position mesh windows. These can be opened or closed from both the inside and outside to provide cross-ventilation and maintain a comfortable interior climate. The mesh layers help keep insects out while allowing airflow.

5.2. Awning Use
The large awning provides extended shade and rain protection. When fully opened and supported by the awning poles, it extends the tent's usable space by up to 2.8 meters, creating an ideal area for camping tables and chairs.
