5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your air conditioner.
5.1 Cleaning the Air Filter
- It is recommended to clean the air filter every 2 weeks, or more frequently depending on usage and air quality.
- Turn off and unplug the unit before cleaning.
- Remove the air filter from the back of the unit.
- Wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and allow it to air dry completely before reinserting.
5.2 Draining Water
The unit has a self-evaporative system, which reduces the need for frequent draining. However, in high humidity conditions, the water tank may fill up. The unit will stop operating and display an error code when the tank is full.
- Manual Drainage: Place a shallow pan or tray under the drainage port at the bottom of the unit. Remove the drain plug to allow water to flow out. Replace the plug once drained.
- Continuous Drainage: For continuous operation in dehumidification mode, connect the provided draining pipe to the continuous drainage port. Ensure the pipe is sloped downwards to allow gravity drainage into a suitable container or floor drain.
5.3 Storage
If storing the unit for an extended period:
- Drain all accumulated water from the unit.
- Clean the air filter.
- Store the unit in a dry, upright position, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
