4. Setup and Installation
4.1 Wiring Diagram
The valve uses a 5-wire control method. Refer to the diagram below for correct wiring connections.

4.2 Wiring Connections
- RD (Red Cable): Connect to DC9-24V positive pole.
- BK (Black Cable): Connect to DC9-24V negative pole (also common for 4-20mA-/0-5V-/0-10V control signals).
- GR (Green Cable): Connect to position input / control current + / control voltage + (for 4-20mA, 0-5V, or 0-10V signals).
- WT (White Cable): Connect to common signal input and output signal's negative.
- YW (Yellow Cable): Connect to position feedback positive, providing a 4-20mA feedback signal.
An additional YW connection is for an LED light (between 9-24V). This LED will illuminate if an error occurs.
4.3 Physical Installation
Mount the valve securely in the desired position within your plumbing system. Ensure the valve thread (NPT or BSP, depending on your model) matches your piping. The valve can operate in any position.
5. Operating Instructions
The TFM8-B2-C proportional valve modulates its opening based on the input control signal (0-5V, 0-10V, or 4-20mA). The valve will move to the commanded position within approximately 7 seconds. A locked-rotor delay time of 2-4 seconds is integrated.
- Control Signal: Apply the appropriate voltage or current signal to the GR (Green) wire relative to the BK (Black) wire to control the valve's opening percentage.
- Position Feedback: The YW (Yellow) wire provides a 4-20mA feedback signal indicating the current position of the valve.
- PWM Output: The WT (White) wire provides an OC output PWM signal with a frequency of 0-100Hz and a duty cycle of 5-95%.
6. Maintenance

- Periodically check for any leaks around the valve body and connections.

- LED error light is ON: If the LED connected to the YW wire (error indicator) is illuminated, it signifies an internal error. Disconnect power, wait a few minutes, and reconnect. If the error persists, contact support.
- Inaccurate positioning: Verify the control signal source is stable and within the specified range (0-5V, 0-10V, or 4-20mA). Check the position feedback signal for consistency.
- Slow operation: Ensure the power supply voltage is adequate and stable.
