4. Setup

4.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge your WG2 headset. Connect the included Type-C charging cable to the headset's charging port and the other end to a USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter). The LED indicator will show charging status and turn off when fully charged. A full charge takes approximately 2.5-3 hours.

4.2 Connectivity Modes

The WG2 headset supports two primary connection modes: 2.4GHz wireless via USB dongle and Bluetooth.

4.2.1 2.4GHz Dongle Mode (Recommended for Gaming)

This mode offers ultra-low latency (less than 20ms) for optimal gaming performance.

  1. Insert the 2.4GHz USB dongle into an available USB port on your PS5, PS4, PC, or Mac.
  2. Long press the Power button on the headset for 3 seconds to turn it on.
  3. The headset will automatically connect to the dongle. The indicator light on the dongle will turn solid when connected.

4.2.2 Bluetooth Mode

Bluetooth mode is suitable for mobile phones, tablets, iPads, and other smart devices. Note: Bluetooth mode is not compatible with PS4 or PS5. The microphone is not available when connected to the Nintendo Switch via Bluetooth.

  1. Long press the Power button on the headset for 3 seconds to turn it on.
  2. Long press the Mic button (2) for 2 seconds to switch to Bluetooth mode. The headset will enter pairing mode (indicator light will flash).
  3. On your device, enable Bluetooth and select "WG2" from the list of available devices to pair.
  4. For re-pairing in Bluetooth mode, long press the LED button (3) for 3 seconds.
  5. To clear all paired Bluetooth devices, press and hold both the Mic button (2) and LED button (3) for 6 seconds.

4.3 System Audio Settings (PC/Mac)

After connecting the headset, ensure your system's audio settings are configured correctly.

4.3.1 PC Setup

  1. Open "Control Panel" and navigate to "All Control Panel Items."
  2. Right-click on "WG2" Gaming Headset under Playback Devices and select "Set as Default Device."
