Figure 4: Visual alarm indications for different radiation levels.

  • Green: Safe level.
  • Yellow: Alert level, indicating elevated radiation.
  • Red: Avoid level, indicating high radiation that may require caution.

The audible alarm will sound when radiation levels exceed a preset threshold. You can toggle the speaker on or off using the dedicated button.

6.6 Automatic Shutdown

To conserve battery life, the device features an automatic shutdown function after a period of inactivity. This function can be optionally deactivated if continuous monitoring is required.

7. Measurement Guidelines

To obtain accurate readings, hold the meter steadily and move it slowly around the area or device you wish to measure. Different sources emit different types of fields:

  • RF (Radio Frequency): Common sources include cell phones, Wi-Fi routers, smart devices, and microwave ovens.
  • EF (Electric Field): Often associated with power lines, electrical appliances (laptops, TVs), and wiring.
  • MF (Magnetic Field): Generated by motors, transformers, and appliances like refrigerators, washing machines, and air conditioners.

Observe the readings on the display and the color indications to assess the electromagnetic environment. Higher readings and red indications suggest stronger fields.

8. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for an extended period, remove the batteries.
