5.2 Battery Installation (if applicable)
The TRUGLO Red-Dot Sight typically uses a common button cell battery.
- Locate the battery compartment, usually found on the brightness adjustment knob.
- Unscrew the battery cap.
- Insert the battery with the positive (+) side facing outwards, as indicated by the diagram inside the compartment.
- Replace the battery cap and tighten it securely to ensure a waterproof seal.
6. Operating the Sight
6.1 Power On/Off and Brightness Adjustment
The sight features a rheostat-controlled brightness setting.
- Rotate the brightness adjustment knob (typically on the left side of the sight) to turn the unit on.
- Continue rotating the knob to cycle through different brightness levels.
- To turn off the sight, rotate the knob back to the "OFF" position.

6.2 Reticle Color Selection
This model offers both red and green reticle options.
- The color selection is integrated into the brightness adjustment knob. Specific positions on the knob will activate either the red or green reticle.
- Rotate the knob to the desired color setting.
6.3 Windage and Elevation Adjustments
Windage (horizontal) and elevation (vertical) adjustments are made using click-adjustable turrets.
- Remove the protective caps from the windage (side) and elevation (top) adjustment turrets.
- Use a flat-head screwdriver or a coin to turn the adjustment screws.
- Each click represents a specific change in point of impact (e.g., 1 MOA per click). Refer to the sight's specifications for precise click values.
- Turn the elevation screw clockwise to move the point of impact down, and counter-clockwise to move it up.
- Turn the windage screw clockwise to move the point of impact right, and counter-clockwise to move it left.
- After zeroing, replace the protective caps to prevent accidental adjustments and protect the turrets.

7. Maintenance
7.1 Cleaning the Lenses
To maintain optical clarity, keep the lenses clean.
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth (like the one provided) or a lens brush to gently remove dust and loose debris.
- For smudges or fingerprints, use a lens cleaning solution specifically designed for optics and apply it to the cloth, not directly to the lens.
- Wipe the lens gently in a circular motion from the center outwards.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals, paper towels, or abrasive materials, as these can scratch the lens coatings.
7.2 General Care and Storage
- Keep the sight dry. If it gets wet, wipe it down with a clean, dry cloth.
- Store the sight in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Always ensure the lens caps are closed when not in use to protect the lenses from dust and scratches.
- If storing for an extended period, remove the battery to prevent leakage and damage to the electronics.
8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |

| Dot appears distorted or multiple dots. | Astigmatism (user's eye); dirty lens; defective unit. | Try looking through the sight with corrective eyewear; clean lenses; if problem persists, contact customer support. |
| Sight not holding zero. | Mounting screws loose; recoil from firearm; defective unit. | Ensure mounting screws are tight; re-zero the sight; if problem persists, contact customer support. |
| Internal fogging. | Rapid temperature change; seal compromise. | Allow sight to acclimate to ambient temperature; if fogging persists or is severe, contact customer support as the seal may be compromised. |
