Product Overview

The Ciays 19 Inch Portable Propane Fire Pit is designed for outdoor use, providing a smoke-free heat source with a 58,000 BTU output. It features a durable alloy steel and stainless steel construction with an enamel finish. This unit is equipped with folding legs for portability, a cast iron grill grate for cooking, and a Piezo electric ignition system for reliable starting.

Setup Instructions

1. Unpacking and Inspection

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any damage. Ensure all listed components are present.

2. Deploying the Legs

Flip the fire pit upside down. Locate the folding legs and extend them outwards until they lock securely into place. Ensure all four legs are fully extended and stable before proceeding.

3. Placing Lava Rocks

Turn the fire pit right-side up. Carefully distribute the provided lava rocks evenly over the burner ring inside the fire pit bowl. Do not obstruct the igniter or burner ports.

4. Connecting Propane Tank

Connect the 10 ft gas hose with regulator to a standard 20 lb propane tank (not included). Ensure a tight connection to prevent leaks. Place the propane tank in the provided tank holder a safe distance from the fire pit.

Operating Instructions

1. Pre-Operation Safety Check

• Ensure the fire pit is on a level, non-combustible surface.
• Keep clear of flammable materials.
• Check all gas connections for leaks using a soapy water solution. Bubbles indicate a leak.
• Ensure the control knob is in the "OFF" position.

2. Ignition

1. Slowly open the valve on the propane tank.
2. Push and hold the electroplated control knob for 3 seconds.
3. While still holding, turn the knob counter-clockwise to the "MAX" position and hold for 5 seconds. The Piezo electric igniter will spark, lighting the flame.
4. Once lit, release the knob.

3. Flame Adjustment

Rotate the control knob between "MIN" and "MAX" to adjust the flame height and heat output as desired.

4. Shutting Down

1. Turn the control knob to the "OFF" position.
2. Close the valve on the propane tank.
3. Allow the unit to cool completely before handling or storing.

Maintenance

Cleaning

• Ensure the fire pit is completely cool before cleaning.
• Wipe exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
• Periodically check the burner ports for any obstructions and clean as necessary.
• The cast iron grill grate can be cleaned with warm soapy water and a brush. Dry thoroughly to prevent rust.

Storage

• Once cooled, fold the legs back into the unit for compact storage.
• Secure the lid with the provided carrying strap for easy transport.
• Store the fire pit in a dry, protected area away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Troubleshooting

• No Ignition: Ensure the propane tank valve is fully open. Check gas hose connections. Verify the control knob is pushed in and turned to MAX for the required duration during ignition.
• Low Flame: Check propane tank level. Ensure the gas hose is not kinked. The flameout protection feature may have activated if the flame was extinguished by wind or rain; re-ignite following the operating instructions.
• Gas Leak Smell: Immediately turn off the propane tank valve and the fire pit control knob. Do not attempt to ignite. Check all connections for leaks using soapy water. If a leak persists, do not use the unit and contact customer support.
