4. Setup

4.1 Powering the Monitor

  1. Battery Installation: The monitor features a swappable dual battery plate compatible with Sony F970 series batteries (F970, F960, F950, F930, F770, F750, F730, F570, F550, F530). Insert a charged battery into the plate.
  2. DC Power Input: Alternatively, connect a 12V DC power adapter to the DC IN 12V port. A 5V Type-C port is available for power supply only, not for data transmission or loop-out power.

4.2 Mounting the Monitor

Attach the monitor to your camera rig using the included L-bracket. The bracket allows for 360° swivel and 180° tilt adjustments to achieve the desired viewing angle.

4.3 Connecting to a Camera

Use the provided Micro to HDMI or Mini to HDMI cables to connect your camera's HDMI output to the monitor's HDMI IN port. The monitor also features an HDMI OUT port for looping the signal to another display.

5.1 Basic Operation

  • Power On/Off: Press and hold the power button located on the side of the monitor.
  • Touchscreen Control: Use simple gestures and swipes on the 7-inch touchscreen to navigate menus and activate functions.
  • Menu Access: Swipe from the edge of the screen or tap the menu icon to access settings such as User Group, Volume, Language, Firmware, and Tips.

  • Waveforms, Vectorscope, Histogram: These tools can be accessed via the touchscreen menu to analyze exposure, color balance, and luminance levels.
  • 3D LUTs: Load your custom 3D LUT files via the SD card slot to apply color profiles. The monitor can display both the original and LUT-applied images for comparison.
