Operating Instructions
- Prepare the Soldering Iron: Turn on the soldering iron and set the temperature to the recommended setting for your specific plastic and insert type (typically between 200°C and 350°C). Allow it to heat up.
- Position the Part: Place your 3D printed part on the base of the machine, aligning the hole for the insert directly under the tip adapter.
- Load the Insert: Carefully place a brass threaded insert onto the tip adapter.
- Perform Insertion: Gently lower the horizontal arm using the handle, guiding the heated insert into the 3D printed part. Apply steady, even pressure. The linear guide rail ensures vertical movement.
- Control Depth: Use the pressing limit knob to set and control the desired insertion depth. Ensure the insert is flush or slightly recessed as required.
- Retract and Cool: Once the insert is fully seated, lift the horizontal arm. Allow the plastic to cool and solidify around the insert before handling the part.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Insert not seating properly | Incorrect temperature, insufficient pressure, misaligned part, or wrong tip size. | Adjust soldering iron temperature, apply more consistent pressure, ensure part is aligned, verify tip size matches insert. |
| Soldering iron not heating | Power connection issue, faulty iron, or incorrect temperature setting. | Check power connections, ensure iron is switched on, verify temperature setting. If problem persists, contact support. |
| Machine movement is stiff | Debris on linear rail, loose components. | Clean linear rail, check and tighten all screws. |
