Setup

Before using your FineMade Waffle Maker for the first time, please follow these steps:

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove the waffle maker and all packaging materials.
  2. Initial Cleaning: Wipe the non-stick cooking plates with a damp cloth or sponge. Dry thoroughly. The exterior can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the appliance in water.
  3. Placement: Place the waffle maker on a stable, heat-resistant surface near an electrical outlet. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the appliance.
  4. First Use Burn-Off: During the first use, a slight odor or light smoke may occur. This is normal for new appliances and will dissipate quickly. Operate the waffle maker empty for about 5-10 minutes to burn off any manufacturing residues.

Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to make perfect waffles:

  1. Preheat: Plug the waffle maker into a 120V AC electrical outlet. The red indicator light will illuminate, signaling that the appliance is heating up.
  2. Ready Indicator: Once the waffle maker reaches the optimal cooking temperature, the green indicator light will illuminate, indicating it is ready for use.
  3. Close-up of the FineMade Waffle Maker's indicator lights, showing red for power and green for ready.

Image: Clear indicator lights show when the waffle maker is preheating (red) and ready (green).

  4. Add Batter: Open the lid. Pour approximately 2/3 cup of your favorite waffle batter onto the center of the bottom cooking plate. Do not overfill, as batter may overflow during cooking.
  5. Hand pouring waffle batter into the FineMade Classic Waffle Maker.

Image: Carefully pour batter onto the non-stick cooking plate.

  6. Close and Cook: Gently close the lid. The green indicator light may turn off during cooking as the appliance maintains temperature. Cook for approximately 1.5 to 2 minutes, or until the waffle is golden brown and crispy to your preference.
  7. Remove Waffle: Once cooked, open the lid and carefully remove the waffle using a heat-resistant, non-metallic utensil (e.g., a silicone spatula). Do not use metal utensils, as they can damage the non-stick coating.
  8. Repeat: Close the lid and allow the waffle maker to reheat until the green light illuminates again before adding more batter.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Proper care ensures the longevity of your waffle maker:

  1. Cool Down: Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Clean Cooking Plates: The non-stick cooking plates can be easily wiped clean with a damp cloth or sponge. For stubborn batter, a small amount of cooking oil can be applied to soften it before wiping. Use the included brush for crevices. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they can damage the non-stick coating.
  3. Hand using a brush to clean the non-stick plates of the FineMade Classic Waffle Maker.
