2. Setup and Installation
Proper installation is crucial for the safe and efficient operation of your solar controller. Please follow these steps carefully.
2.1 Installation Environment

- Avoid direct sunlight exposure, damp environments, or areas with excessive dust.
2.2 Wiring Instructions
Important: Always connect components in the specified order to prevent damage to the controller or other system components.
- Connect the Battery: First, connect the battery to the controller's battery terminals. Ensure correct polarity (+ to + and - to -).
- Connect the Solar Panel: Next, connect the solar panel to the controller's solar panel terminals. Verify correct polarity.
- Connect the Load: Finally, connect your DC load to the controller's load terminals. Ensure correct polarity.
Disassembly Sequence: When disconnecting the system, follow the reverse order: disconnect the load first, then the solar panel, and finally the battery.

3. Operating Instructions
The controller's LCD display provides real-time system status and allows for parameter adjustments.
3.1 LCD Display and Buttons
The LCD screen displays information such as battery voltage, charging current, discharge current, and temperature. Use the control buttons located below the display to navigate menus and adjust settings.

3.2 Parameter Adjustment
The controller allows adjustment of various parameters, including charge stop voltage, discharge stop voltage, and discharge reconnect voltage. Refer to the on-screen menu for specific navigation and adjustment procedures. Default values are provided in the Specifications section.
3.3 USB Output
The dual 5V/2A USB ports can be used to charge compatible electronic devices. Ensure the controller is powered by the battery for USB functionality.
4. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your solar controller, periodic maintenance is recommended.
- Ventilation: Regularly check that the installation area remains well-ventilated and free from obstructions to allow for proper heat dissipation.
- Cleanliness: Keep the controller clean and free from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
- Connections: Periodically inspect all wiring connections to ensure they are secure and free from corrosion.
- Environmental Conditions: Ensure the controller is not exposed to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or excessive moisture, as these can affect its performance and lifespan.
5. Troubleshooting
The controller is designed with several built-in protection mechanisms. If you encounter issues, consider the following:
- No Display/Power: Check battery connections and ensure the battery has sufficient charge.
- No Charging: Verify solar panel connections and ensure the panel is receiving adequate sunlight. Check for open-circuit protection activation.
- No Load Output: Check load connections. The controller has short-circuit and overload protection; ensure the load current does not exceed the controller's rating.
- Reverse Polarity: The controller has reverse polarity protection. If connections were reversed, correct them. The controller should resume normal operation once polarity is corrected.
- Over-Discharge: If the battery voltage drops below the discharge stop voltage, the load output will be disconnected to protect the battery. It will reconnect once the battery voltage recovers to the discharge reconnect voltage.
If problems persist after checking these points, consult a qualified technician.
