  1. Position the tractor to align with the 3-point hitch points on the grinder.
  2. Attach the lower lift arms of the tractor to the corresponding pins on the grinder. Secure with linchpins.
  3. Connect the top link of the tractor to the top mounting point on the grinder. Adjust the length to achieve the desired angle.

3. Operating Instructions

Before operation, ensure all safety guards are in place and the area around the stump is clear of debris and personnel. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including eye protection, hearing protection, and sturdy footwear.

3.1 Stump Grinding Procedure

  1. Start the tractor and engage the PTO at the recommended 540 RPM.
  2. Slowly lower the stump grinder until the cutting wheel makes contact with the top of the stump.
  3. Begin grinding by moving the tractor slowly forward or backward, allowing the 24-inch flywheel with its 34 tungsten carbide teeth to chip away at the stump.
  4. Adjust the cutting depth as needed, up to a maximum of 6 inches below ground level, to remove the entire stump and root system.
  5. Maintain a steady, controlled pace. The independent PTO shaft allows for precise control of the grinder's speed regardless of tractor movement.
  6. Once the stump is completely ground, disengage the PTO and raise the grinder.
