3. Trim Kit Installation
Install the trim kit components (escutcheon plate, handle) over the rough-in valve according to the manufacturer's instructions, ensuring a flush and secure fit.
4. Leak Test
Once all components are installed, slowly turn on the main water supply and check all connections for leaks. Address any leaks immediately by tightening connections or applying plumber's tape as needed.
Operating Instructions
Your Homekicen shower system offers three distinct showering modes:
- Temperature and Flow Control: Use the main handle on the trim kit to adjust water temperature and flow. Rotate the handle to control temperature and pull/push to control flow.
- 3-Way Diverter: The diverter knob on the trim kit allows you to switch between the three shower functions:
- Position 1: Activates the 9-inch Ceiling Mounted Rain Head.
- Position 2: Activates the 6-inch Wall Mounted Rainfall Head.
- Position 3: Activates the Handheld Spray.
- Handheld Spray: The handheld spray provides targeted water delivery. Its adjustable angle holder allows for convenient positioning.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance will help preserve the finish and functionality of your shower system.
- Cleaning the Finish: Clean the brushed gold finish with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or scouring pads, as these can damage the finish.
- Cleaning Nozzles: The shower heads feature "Touch to Clean" nozzles. Periodically rub the rubber nozzles with your finger or a soft brush to dislodge mineral buildup and maintain optimal spray performance.
- General Inspection: Periodically check all connections for any signs of wear or leaks.
