5. Setup

1. Shave Visible Hair: Before each treatment, ensure the skin area is clean, dry, and free of visible hair. Use the provided shaver or your preferred method to shave the area.
2. Connect to Power Outlet: Plug the power adapter into the device and then into a suitable electrical outlet. The device will power on automatically.
3. Wear Protective Goggles: Always put on the protective goggles before starting the treatment to protect your eyes from the intense light.

6.1. Skin Tone & Hair Color Compatibility

The effectiveness and safety of IPL hair removal depend on your skin tone and hair color. IPL technology targets melanin in the hair follicle. It is most effective on light to medium skin tones with dark hair. It is not effective on red, blonde, grey, or white hair. Melanin in dark skin also absorbs light energy, which can cause pain or burns. Please refer to the chart below to determine if this device is suitable for you.

6.2. Treatment Steps

1. Adjust to Suitable Energy Level/Mode: Press the power button to turn on the device. Use the mode button to select between Auto Mode (for continuous flashes) or Manual Mode (for single flashes). Adjust the energy level (1-5) by pressing the power button repeatedly. Start with Level 1 for your first treatment and gradually increase as your skin adapts.
2. Place Device Vertically Against the Skin: Position the light window of the device firmly and vertically at a 90-degree angle against the skin area you wish to treat. Ensure full contact.
3. Activate Flash: For Manual Mode, press the flash button to emit a single pulse. For Auto Mode, the device will automatically emit flashes when in full contact with the skin and moved across the area.
4. Move to Next Area: After each flash (or continuous flashes in Auto Mode), lift the device slightly and move to the next adjacent skin area. Avoid overlapping flashes on the same spot too frequently.
5. Apply Skin Lotion: After completing your hair removal session, apply a moisturizing lotion to soothe and hydrate the treated skin area.
