4. Setup

1. Prepare the Skin: Before each treatment, ensure the target area is clean, dry, and free of any lotions, creams, or deodorants. Shave the hair in the treatment area. Do not wax or pluck, as IPL targets the hair follicle.



2. Wear Protective Goggles: Always put on the provided protective goggles before plugging in or operating the device to protect your eyes from the intense light flashes.



3. Connect Power: Plug the power adapter into the device and then into a suitable electrical outlet. The device will power on automatically or can be turned on by pressing the power button.
4. Select Lamp Head: Choose the appropriate lamp head (bikini or face) for the specific treatment area and attach it securely to the device. The device comes with a standard body lamp head pre-installed.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power Levels and Modes

The MLAY T14 offers 5 adjustable power levels and two flash modes to customize your treatment based on skin sensitivity and treatment area.

• Power Levels: Adjust the intensity using the level selection button. Start with Level 1 for your first treatment and gradually increase as your skin tolerates it.
• Manual Mode: Ideal for small, precise areas like the upper lip, underarms, or bikini line. Press the flash button for each individual flash.
• Auto Mode: Suitable for larger body areas such as legs, arms, or back. Hold down the flash button, and the device will automatically emit continuous flashes as you glide it over the skin.

5.2 Ice-Cooling System

The device features an integrated ice-cooling system to enhance comfort during treatment. This function can be activated or deactivated as desired.

• Press the snowflake button to turn the ice-cooling function on or off.
• The cooling system helps to minimize discomfort and protect the skin from heat during the IPL flashes.

5.3 Treatment Application

1. Ensure the device is plugged in and powered on.
2. Select your desired power level and activate the ice-cooling function if preferred.
3. Place the treatment window firmly against the skin, ensuring full contact. The device will not flash unless proper contact is made.
4. Press the flash button (for Manual Mode) or hold it down and glide the device (for Auto Mode) over the treatment area. The device boasts a rapid 0.5 seconds/flash rate, allowing for quick full-body treatments.



5. Move the device to the next adjacent area, ensuring slight overlap to avoid missing spots. The large 3.9cm² (1.54 inch + 10%) output spot size covers a significant area with each flash.



6. Continue until the entire desired area has been treated.

5.4 Treatment Schedule

Consistent use is key to achieving optimal results. Follow the recommended treatment cycle:

• Weeks 1-3: 2-3 times per week
• Weeks 4-6: 1-2 times per week
• Week 7 onwards: Once per month (maintenance)

Noticeable effects can be observed as early as 4-8 weeks with regular use.

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and effectiveness of your MLAY T14 device:

• Cleaning: After each use, ensure the device is unplugged and cool. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the treatment window and the device body. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.

• Device Not Turning On: Ensure the power adapter is securely plugged into both the device and a working electrical outlet.
• No Flash Emission: The device requires full contact with the skin to flash. Ensure the treatment window is pressed firmly and flat against the skin. Also, check if the device is in Manual Mode and you are pressing the flash button, or if it's in Auto Mode and you are gliding it correctly.
• Discomfort During Treatment: Reduce the power level. Ensure the ice-cooling function is activated. If discomfort persists, discontinue use and consult a professional.
