1. Introduction
The Donner MEDO is a versatile and portable MIDI controller designed for music creation on the go. It combines the functionalities of a synthesizer, looper, and MIDI controller, allowing users to instantly capture unique sounds and create music without the need for extensive third-party equipment. Its intuitive design and gesture-based controls make it accessible for both beginners and experienced musicians.
The MEDO boasts a huge sound library with real instrument samples, subtractive synthesis, and built-in modes including Bass, Chord, Lead, Drum, and Sample, offering over 100 presets. It features a built-in looper with 128-bar recording length and three auto-quantization modes for swift creation and editing. Unique sounds can be sampled directly into the device (up to 5 seconds) and integrated into your performance. The device supports multiple control methods including click, press, slide, slap, tilt, shake, wiggle, and move, enhancing musical expression.

3. Setup
Before using your Donner MEDO, ensure it is fully charged and the necessary software is installed.

3.1 Charging and Initial Setup
The MEDO is equipped with a 2000mAh lithium-ion battery. To charge, use the included USB-C cable and plug it into a 5V/1A USB power supply. It is recommended to update the firmware once fully charged to ensure optimal performance. The MEDO is equipped with two software applications: Donner Play (for mobile/PC) and MEDO SYNTH (PC only).
- Donner Play App: Download from your preferred application store (Google Play or Apple App Store). This app is mainly used for official sound changes and visual operation.
- MEDO SYNTH App: Download from donnermusic.com. This software is mainly used for custom editing of sounds.
3.2 Connecting Your MEDO
After installation of the apps, you can connect your MEDO via Bluetooth or USB-C. USB connection offers faster transfer speeds, while Bluetooth provides more convenience.
- Press the MEDO power button while opening the Donner Play app on your mobile device or PC.
- In the device information section of the app, select either USB or Bluetooth connection.
