4. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your JetsBath Shower System.

  • Cleaning the Surface: The electroplated and sealed surface is designed to resist fingerprints and water spots. Clean regularly with a soft cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that can damage the finish.
  • Cleaning Nozzles: The shower head and handheld sprayer feature silicone nozzles. To remove accumulated limescale, simply rub the nozzles with your finger. This helps maintain consistent water flow.
  • Thermostatic Valve Care: Periodically check the thermostatic valve for any signs of wear or mineral buildup. If you notice inconsistent temperature control, consult a professional plumber.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your shower system, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps.

Common Issues and Solutions:

  • Low Water Pressure:
    • Check if the main water supply valve is fully open.
    • Clean any mineral buildup from the shower head and handheld nozzles by rubbing the silicone tips.
    • Inspect the water lines for any kinks or obstructions.
  • Inconsistent Water Temperature:
    • Ensure the thermostatic valve is correctly set to 38°C (100°F).
    • If the temperature fluctuates significantly, especially when other water sources are used, it may indicate an issue with the thermostatic cartridge or water pressure balance. Professional inspection is recommended.
  • Leaks from Control Panel:
    • During installation, the back plate of the control panel must be sealed with silicone. If leaks occur, this seal may be compromised. Consult a professional plumber to re-seal the unit.
    • Check all plumbing connections behind the wall for tightness.
  • Shower Modes Not Activating:
    • Ensure sufficient water pressure is available.
    • Verify that the buttons are fully depressed. If issues persist, the diverter cartridge may require inspection by a professional.
