5.1 Power Connection

The machine can be powered by either the AC adapter or 4x 1.5V AA batteries (not included).

  • AC Adapter: Insert the DC plug of the adapter into the power port on the back of the machine, then plug the adapter into a standard AC 100-240V wall outlet.
  • Batteries: Open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the machine and insert 4x 1.5V AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Close the cover securely.

5.2 Bobbin Winding

  1. Place a spool of thread on the spool pin.
  2. Guide the thread through the bobbin winding tension disc.
  3. Place an empty bobbin onto the bobbin winder spindle.
  4. Wrap the thread around the bobbin a few times clockwise.
  5. Push the bobbin winder spindle to the right.
  6. Turn on the machine (L or H speed) or press the foot pedal. The bobbin will start winding.
  7. Once the bobbin is full, turn off the machine, cut the thread, and push the spindle back to the left. Remove the wound bobbin.

5.3 Upper Threading

  1. Raise the needle to its highest position using the handwheel.
  2. Place a spool of thread on the spool pin.
  3. Guide the thread through the first thread guide.
  4. Pass the thread down through the tension disc.
  5. Guide the thread up through the take-up lever.
  6. Thread the needle from front to back. Pull about 15cm of thread through the needle eye.

5.4 Lower Threading (Inserting Bobbin)

  1. Open the bobbin cover plate.
  2. Insert the wound bobbin into the bobbin case, ensuring the thread unwinds in the correct direction (usually counter-clockwise).
  3. Guide the bobbin thread through the tension spring slot.
  4. Hold the upper thread with one hand, and slowly turn the handwheel towards you to lower and raise the needle. The needle will catch the bobbin thread, bringing it up through the needle plate.

  6. Close the bobbin cover plate.
