1. Introduction

The Rolipo Handheld Garment Steamer (Model HY-128) is designed for efficient and quick wrinkle removal from various fabrics. Its powerful steam output and user-friendly design make it ideal for home, office, and travel use.

2. Setup

2.1 Filling the Water Tank

1. Twist the water tank counter-clockwise to detach it from the main unit.
2. Open the rubber stopper at the bottom of the water tank.
3. Fill the 400ML water tank with purified water up to the 'MAX' line. Using purified water is recommended to prevent mineral buildup.
4. Securely close the rubber stopper.
5. Align the water tank with the main unit and twist clockwise until it clicks into place, ensuring a secure, leak-proof fit.

2.2 Attaching the Brush Attachment

The included brush attachment can be used for thicker fabrics or to remove lint/hair while steaming.

• Align the brush attachment with the steamer's nozzle.
• Gently slide the attachment onto the nozzle until it locks securely.
• To remove, simply slide it off.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Powering On and Preheating

1. Plug the steamer into a 120V power outlet.
2. The indicator light will flash red, indicating the unit is preheating. This takes approximately 30 seconds.
3. Once preheating is complete, the light will turn solid red. The steamer is now ready for use.

3.2 Steaming Garments

1. Hang your garment on a hanger. For best results, hold the fabric taut with one hand.
2. Press the steam trigger button located on the handle. The indicator light will turn blue, and steam will begin to emit.
3. Move the steamer slowly over the wrinkled areas of the fabric, from top to bottom.
4. For continuous steam without holding the trigger, push the lock button (if available on your model version).
5. The steamer is suitable for a wide range of fabrics including wool, denim, cotton, silk, linen, and nylon.
6. Safety Note: Steam is hot. Always keep your hands and body away from the steam nozzle during operation to avoid burns.

4. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your steamer.

• After Each Use: Always empty any remaining water from the tank after each use to prevent mineral buildup and odors.
• Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the steamer with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Storage: Store the steamer in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Ensure the power cord is neatly wrapped.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your steamer, please refer to the following common solutions:

• No Steam: Ensure the water tank is filled and securely attached. Check if the unit is properly plugged into a working outlet and has completed its preheating cycle (solid red light).
• Water Leakage: Verify that the water tank is twisted on tightly and the rubber stopper is fully sealed.
• Steamer Not Heating: Confirm the power cord is fully inserted and the outlet is functional. If the indicator light does not illuminate, contact customer support.
