2. Setup
2.1 Package Contents

2.2 Connecting the Keyboard
- Locate the USB-C port on the back of the keyboard.
- Connect one end of the provided USB-C cable to the keyboard.
- Connect the other end of the USB-C cable to an available USB port on your computer (Windows PC or Mac).
- The keyboard will automatically be recognized by your operating system.

2.3 System Compatibility Switch

3.5 Gasket Mount Design and Keycaps
The SK80 utilizes a gasket mount design, which enhances typing stability and reduces noise, contributing to a more immersive experience. It comes with classic Cherry profile PBT keycaps, offering durability and a comfortable feel.

4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning the Keyboard
- Disconnect the keyboard from your computer before cleaning.
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth dampened with a small amount of water or a mild cleaning solution to wipe the keycaps and keyboard surface.
- For dust and debris between keys, use compressed air or a small brush.
- To clean under the keycaps, use the provided keycap puller to carefully remove them. Clean the switches and plate, then reattach the keycaps.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the keyboard's finish or keycap legends.
4.2 Switch Replacement (Hot-Swappable)
- Ensure the keyboard is disconnected from your computer.
- Use a keycap puller to remove the desired keycap.
- Use a switch puller (not included, but commonly available) to gently grip and pull the switch straight up from the PCB.
- Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB and press down firmly until it clicks into place. Ensure the pins are not bent.
- Replace the keycap.
5. Troubleshooting
5.1 Keyboard Not Responding
- Ensure the USB-C cable is securely connected to both the keyboard and the computer.
- Try connecting the keyboard to a different USB port on your computer.
- Test the keyboard on another computer to rule out a computer-specific issue.
- Verify that the Windows/Mac compatibility switch is set correctly for your operating system.
5.2 Backlight Not Working or Incorrect
- Check the backlight brightness settings via the LCD screen or the programmable software.
- Ensure no specific lighting profile is overriding your desired settings.
- If using the software, ensure it is up to date and correctly installed.
5.3 Keys Not Registering or Double-Typing
- For hot-swappable switches, carefully remove the keycap and switch for the affected key. Reinsert the switch firmly to ensure proper contact.
- Clean any debris around the switch stem.
- If the issue persists, consider replacing the switch.
