1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the Womier SK80 Wired Gaming Keyboard. This mechanical keyboard features a 75% compact layout, an integrated LCD screen, hot-swappable switches, and customizable RGB backlighting. Designed for both gaming and daily use, it offers a comfortable and responsive typing experience. This manual provides detailed instructions for setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance of your keyboard.

2. Setup

2.1 Package Contents

2.2 Connecting the Keyboard

1. Locate the USB-C port on the back of the keyboard.
2. Connect one end of the provided USB-C cable to the keyboard.
3. Connect the other end of the USB-C cable to an available USB port on your computer (Windows PC or Mac).
4. The keyboard will automatically be recognized by your operating system.

2.3 System Compatibility Switch

The keyboard features a switch to toggle between Windows and Mac operating system modes. Locate the switch on the back or side of the keyboard and set it to the appropriate position for your system.

2.4 Adjustable Feet

3.4 Hot-Swappable Switches

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning the Keyboard

• Disconnect the keyboard from your computer before cleaning.
• Use a soft, lint-free cloth dampened with a small amount of water or a mild cleaning solution to wipe the keycaps and keyboard surface.
• For dust and debris between keys, use compressed air or a small brush.
• To clean under the keycaps, use the provided keycap puller to carefully remove them. Clean the switches and plate, then reattach the keycaps.
• Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the keyboard's finish or keycap legends.

4.2 Switch Replacement (Hot-Swappable)

• Ensure the keyboard is disconnected from your computer.
• Use a keycap puller to remove the desired keycap.
• Use a switch puller (not included, but commonly available) to gently grip and pull the switch straight up from the PCB.
• Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB and press down firmly until it clicks into place. Ensure the pins are not bent.
• Replace the keycap.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Keyboard Not Responding

• Ensure the USB-C cable is securely connected to both the keyboard and the computer.
• Try connecting the keyboard to a different USB port on your computer.
• Test the keyboard on another computer to rule out a computer-specific issue.
• Verify that the Windows/Mac compatibility switch is set correctly for your operating system.

5.2 Backlight Not Working or Incorrect

• Check the backlight brightness settings via the LCD screen or the programmable software.
• Ensure no specific lighting profile is overriding your desired settings.
• If using the software, ensure it is up to date and correctly installed.

5.3 Keys Not Registering or Double-Typing

• For hot-swappable switches, carefully remove the keycap and switch for the affected key. Reinsert the switch firmly to ensure proper contact.
• Clean any debris around the switch stem.
• If the issue persists, consider replacing the switch.
