JOYLIT CCT LED Strip Remote Controller

Model: RF-V1

Introduction

This instruction manual provides comprehensive guidance for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your JOYLIT CCT LED Strip Remote Controller, Model RF-V1. This controller is designed for DC 12-24V tunable white LED strip lighting, enabling precise color temperature and brightness adjustments. Please read this manual thoroughly before use to ensure proper functionality and safety.

What's in the Box

  • CCT LED Strip Remote Controller (RF-V1)
  • Magnetic Wall Mount Bracket
  • CR2032 Battery (pre-installed in remote)

Product Features

  • Compatibility: Designed for DC 12-24V CCT LED strip lights (e.g., 5050, 3528, 2835, COB, Neon). Maximum current 5A per channel.
  • 2.4GHz RF Remote Control: Offers a maximum remote distance of 98FT/30M in open areas. Provides multi-directional control, eliminating the need for direct line of sight and allowing control through walls and doors.
  • Pairing Functionality: Factory set for 1-to-1 pairing. Can be decoded and re-paired for 1-to-1 or 1-to-many synchronization, preventing mis-control and enabling multi-kit synchronization.
  • Memory Function: The LED dimmer remembers the last setting when the light strip is turned on again.
  • Flicker-Free Dimming: Ensures smooth dimming and switching without any flickering.
  • Fade In/Fade Out Function: Selectable 3-second light slow on/off time. Activate by long-pressing the match key for 5 seconds, then short-pressing the match key 3 times. The indicator light will blink 3 times to confirm. This feature helps protect eyes.
  • Sensitive Touch Slider: Provides ultra-sensitive brightness adjustment. The touch slide enters sleep mode after 20 seconds of inactivity to conserve battery. To wake it up when the LED strip is on, long-press the on/off key for over 1 second. If the light is off, short-press the on/off key.
  • Magnetic Wall Mount Bracket: The remote features a magnet on its back, allowing it to be easily attached to the included wall mount bracket or any metal surface for convenient storage.

Setup and Installation

  1. Remote Battery Installation:

Before first use, ensure the protective film is removed from the battery compartment of the remote control. The remote uses one CR2032 battery, which is included.

  2. Wiring the Controller:

Connect the power supply to the controller's input terminals (typically marked 'L' and 'N' for AC input, or '+' and '-' for DC input, depending on your power supply type). Then, connect the CCT LED strip to the controller's output terminals (typically marked 'WW' for warm white, 'CW' for cool white, and '+' for common positive). Ensure all connections are secure and polarity is correct.

  4. Fade In/Fade Out Feature:

To enable the 3-second fade in/fade out function, long-press the match key on the controller for 5 seconds, then short-press the match key 3 times. The indicator light will blink 3 times to confirm activation.

  5. Remote Pairing (for multiple controllers):

The remote is factory-paired 1-to-1. To re-pair or pair with multiple controllers, refer to the detailed pairing instructions provided with your controller. This allows for synchronized control of multiple LED strips.

Troubleshooting

  • Lights not turning on: Check all wiring connections for proper polarity and secure fit. Ensure the power supply is functioning and providing the correct voltage (12-24V DC). Verify the remote control battery is correctly installed and has power.
  • Remote not responding: Ensure the protective film has been removed from the remote's battery. Replace the CR2032 battery if necessary. Confirm the remote is within the 30M/98FT operating range. If multiple controllers are used, ensure correct pairing.
  • Flickering lights: Ensure the power supply is stable and provides sufficient current for your LED strip. Check for loose connections.
  • Inconsistent dimming or color change: Re-pair the remote with the controller. Ensure no other RF devices are causing interference.

Maintenance

  • Keep the controller and remote clean and dry. Avoid exposure to moisture or extreme temperatures.
  • Regularly check wiring for any signs of wear or damage.
  • Replace the remote control battery (CR2032) as needed.
