3. Setup and First Use
Unpacking:
- Remove all packaging materials and promotional labels from the toaster.
- Check that all components are present and undamaged.
Placement:
- Place the toaster on a stable, heat-resistant, and dry surface.
- Ensure there is adequate space around the toaster (at least 10 cm) and above it (at least 20 cm) for proper ventilation. Do not place it directly under wall cabinets.
- Keep the toaster away from curtains, drapes, and other flammable materials.
Before First Use:
To eliminate any manufacturing odors, operate the toaster without bread for a few cycles at the highest browning setting (6). Ensure the room is well-ventilated during this process.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Toasting Bread
- Plug the toaster into a suitable electrical outlet.
- Place one or two slices of bread into the toasting slots.
- Select your desired browning level using the Browning Control Dial (1 for light, 6 for dark).
- Press the Carriage Lever down until it locks into place. The toasting cycle will begin, and the indicator light will illuminate.
- When the desired browning is achieved, the toast will automatically pop up, and the indicator light will turn off.
4.2 Reheat Function (☼)
Use this function to warm up previously toasted bread without further browning.
- Place the cold toast into the slots.
- Press the Carriage Lever down.
- Press the Reheat Button (☼). The reheat indicator light will illuminate.
- The toaster will reheat the bread for a short period and then automatically pop up.
4.3 Defrost Function (❅)
This function allows you to toast frozen bread directly.
- Place frozen bread into the slots.
- Select your desired browning level using the Browning Control Dial.
- Press the Carriage Lever down.
- Press the Defrost Button (❅). The defrost indicator light will illuminate.
- The toaster will automatically adjust the toasting time to defrost and then toast the bread to your selected browning level.
4.4 Cancel Function (⏹)
To stop the toasting cycle at any time, simply press the Cancel Button (⏹). The toast will immediately pop up.
4.5 Extra Lift Position
For easier removal of smaller items like crumpets or English muffins, gently lift the Carriage Lever upwards after the toasting cycle is complete. This raises the toast higher out of the slots.

4.6 Using the Bun Warmer
The included bun warmer accessory can be used to warm buns, croissants, or pastries.
- Place the bun warmer securely over the toasting slots.
- Place the items to be warmed on top of the bun warmer.
- Set the Browning Control Dial to a low setting (e.g., 1 or 2).
- Press the Carriage Lever down to start the heating cycle.
- Monitor the warming process closely to prevent burning. Press the Cancel Button (⏹) when desired warmth is achieved.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your toaster.
5.1 Cleaning the Crumb Tray
The crumb tray should be emptied regularly to prevent crumb build-up, which can be a fire hazard.
- Ensure the toaster is unplugged from the power outlet and completely cool.
- Pull out the Removable Crumb Tray located at the bottom rear of the toaster.
- Empty the crumbs into a waste bin.
- Wipe the tray with a damp cloth if necessary, then dry thoroughly.
- Slide the crumb tray back into place until it clicks securely.

5.2 Cleaning the Exterior
- Ensure the toaster is unplugged and cool.
- Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can damage the finish.
- Dry thoroughly with a soft, dry cloth.
Never immerse the toaster in water or any other liquid.
