Introduction
This manual provides instructions for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your BoxWave SmartDisplay USB Type-C to HDMI Cable. This cable allows you to connect a USB-C enabled device to an HDMI display, such as a monitor or television, for video and audio output. It is compatible with devices like the Zeuslap Z10T Portable Monitor (10.5 in).
Setup
- Connect to Source Device: Insert the USB Type-C connector of the SmartDisplay cable into the USB-C port of your source device (e.g., smartphone, tablet, laptop, or portable monitor like the Zeuslap Z10T). Ensure the connection is firm.
- Connect to Display: Insert the HDMI connector of the SmartDisplay cable into an available HDMI input port on your television or monitor.
- Select Input: On your television or monitor, use the remote control or display menu to select the corresponding HDMI input source to which the cable is connected.

Operating Instructions
- Plug and Play: The SmartDisplay cable is designed for plug-and-play functionality. Once connected correctly, your device should automatically detect the external display.
- Resolution: The cable supports resolutions up to 4K (3840x2160) at 60Hz, providing a high-quality video and audio experience. It is also backward compatible with 1080P displays.
- Display Modes: Depending on your source device, you may be able to choose between mirroring your device's screen or extending your desktop to the external display. Refer to your device's display settings for these options.

Maintenance
- Storage: When not in use, store the cable in a cool, dry place. Avoid tightly coiling or bending the cable at sharp angles to prevent internal damage.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the cable and connectors. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Handling: Always grasp the connector housing when plugging or unplugging the cable. Avoid pulling directly on the cable itself to prevent strain on the connectors and internal wiring. The aluminum alloy connectors with strain relief are designed for durability.

Troubleshooting
- No Signal on Display:
- Ensure both the USB-C and HDMI connectors are fully inserted into their respective ports.
- Verify that the correct HDMI input source is selected on your display.
- Restart your source device and the display.
- Confirm your source device's USB-C port supports video output (DisplayPort Alternate Mode).
- Flickering or Intermittent Signal:
- Check for any physical damage to the cable or connectors.
- Ensure the cable is not excessively bent or strained.
- Try a different HDMI port on your display or a different display if available.
- Incorrect Resolution or Aspect Ratio:
- Adjust the display settings on your source device.
- Ensure your display supports the desired resolution.
