Setup

1. Charging the Headset

Before first use, fully charge the headset. The BH890 offers two charging methods:

  • USB-C Cable Charging: Connect the provided USB-C cable to the headset and a computer or power supply.
  • Charging Cradle Charging: Place the headset on the charging cradle.

A full charge takes approximately 2 hours and provides up to 16 hours of battery life.

2. Connecting the Headset

The BH890 supports multiple connection methods:

  • Bluetooth Connection:
    1. Ensure the headset is powered on.
    2. Activate Bluetooth on your device (smartphone, tablet, computer).
    3. Search for "BH890" in the list of available Bluetooth devices and select it to pair.
    4. The headset will announce "connected" upon successful pairing.
  • USB Dongle Connection:
    1. Plug the provided USB-A dongle into an available USB port on your computer.
    2. Power on the headset. It will automatically attempt to connect to the dongle.
    3. The headset will announce "connected" once the connection is established. This method provides a stable, low-latency audio connection.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

To power on the headset, press and hold the Multi-Function (MF) button for approximately 3 seconds until you hear a power-on prompt. To power off, press and hold the MF button again until you hear a power-off prompt.

Call Management

  • Answer/End Call: Press the MF button once.
  • Reject Call: Press and hold the MF button for 2 seconds.
  • Volume Control: Use the volume up (+) and volume down (-) buttons on the earcup.

Microphone Mute Function

The BH890 features an intelligent mute function:

  • To Mute: Rotate the microphone boom upwards to a 90-degree angle. The headset will announce "mute on".
  • To Unmute: Rotate the microphone boom downwards to its original position. The headset will announce "mute off".

This mute function is compatible with mobile phone calls and popular UC platforms like Zoom, Skype, and Microsoft Teams.

Troubleshooting
