Introduction
Thank you for choosing the Donner DT-10 Magnetic Clip-On Guitar Tuner. This device is designed to provide accurate and versatile tuning for a wide range of musical instruments, including acoustic and electric guitars, ukuleles, basses, violins, and banjos. Its innovative magnetic and clip-on design offers flexibility and ease of use. Please read this manual carefully to ensure proper operation and to maximize the lifespan of your tuner.
Product Overview
The Donner DT-10 tuner features a compact design with a vibrant color LCD display for clear visibility. It offers two primary methods of attachment and a broad tuning range to accommodate various instruments.
Key Features:
- Magnetic Adsorption Design: Allows the tuner to securely attach to any metal part of your instrument. A metal patch is included for convenient storage or attachment to non-magnetic surfaces. This design minimizes wear and tear.
- Flexible Tuning Methods: Choose between magnetic attachment or the classic clip-on option. The clip-on mechanism features a 360-degree swivel for optimal viewing angles.
- Precision Tuning: The detachable design enables placement in resonant positions for enhanced pickup sensitivity. It covers a wide tuning range from A0 (27.5Hz) to C8 (4186.0Hz).
- Vivid Color LCD Display: Provides clear and accurate tuning feedback with rich color indicators, even in low-light conditions.
- User-Friendly Operation: Simple button controls for intuitive use. The tuner body includes a silicone-wrapped inner ring to protect your instrument.
- Power Saving: Automatically powers down after 3 minutes of no signal to conserve battery life.
Setup
1. Battery Installation
The Donner DT-10 tuner requires one CR2032 battery (included). To install or replace the battery:
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the tuner.
- Gently open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert the CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing upwards.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
Note: Ensure correct battery polarity. Improper installation may prevent the tuner from functioning or cause damage. If you experience difficulty opening the compartment, avoid excessive force to prevent damage to the casing.
2. Attaching the Tuner
The DT-10 offers two attachment methods:
- Magnetic Attachment: The tuner can be directly attached to any metal part of your instrument, such as tuning pegs or an input jack plate. For non-magnetic surfaces, use the included metal patch. Peel the adhesive backing from the metal patch and firmly attach it to a suitable, flat surface on your instrument. The tuner will then magnetically adhere to this patch.
- Clip-On Attachment: For traditional clip-on use, attach the tuner's clip to the headstock of your instrument. The clip features a silicone-wrapped inner ring to protect your instrument's finish and provide a secure grip. Adjust the tuner's display angle using the 360-degree swivel mechanism for optimal viewing.
