3.3 Mounting the Clock

Due to the clock's weight (approximately 17.6 pounds) and dimensions (12.6"W x 39.3"H), secure mounting is crucial. It is recommended to mount the clock to a wall stud or use appropriate heavy-duty wall anchors.

  1. Select Location: Choose a suitable wall location, considering the clock's dimensions and weight. Ensure the wall material can support the clock.
  2. Measure and Mark: Hold the clock against the wall at the desired height and mark the position of the metal hanging hook.
  3. Install Hardware:
    • If mounting to a wall stud, drill a pilot hole and securely fasten a screw (not included) into the stud, leaving enough of the screw head exposed for the clock's hook.
    • If mounting to drywall without a stud, use heavy-duty drywall anchors (not included) rated for the clock's weight. Follow the anchor manufacturer's instructions for installation.
  4. Hang the Clock: Carefully lift the clock and align the metal hanging hook on the back with the installed screw or anchor. Ensure the clock is securely seated and level.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Setting the Time

After installing the battery, the clock hands will begin to move. To set the correct time:

  1. Locate the time-setting knob on the back of the clock mechanism.
  2. Gently turn the knob in either direction until the clock hands display the correct time.
  3. Avoid forcing the hands directly, as this may damage the mechanism.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

To maintain the appearance of your mirrored clock:

  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the mirror and glass surfaces.
  • For stubborn marks, a small amount of glass cleaner can be applied to the cloth (not directly to the clock) and then wiped clean.
  • Avoid abrasive cleaners or materials that could scratch the glass or mirror finish.

5.2 Battery Replacement

Replace the AA battery annually or when the clock begins to lose time or stop functioning. Follow the battery installation steps in Section 3.2.
