Setup

Mounting the Riflescope

The Simmons PRO Hunter riflescope comes with one-inch aluminum Weaver-style rings for mounting. Follow these general steps for proper installation:

1. Ensure the firearm is unloaded and pointed in a safe direction.
2. Attach the Weaver-style rings to your firearm's compatible rail, ensuring they are spaced appropriately for the riflescope's main tube.
3. Place the riflescope into the bottom halves of the rings.
4. Attach the top halves of the rings, tightening the screws evenly but not fully at this stage.
5. Adjust the riflescope's position for proper eye relief. With the firearm shouldered, you should see a full, clear image through the scope without any dark edges (vignetting).
6. Rotate the riflescope to ensure the reticle is level with the firearm.
7. Once eye relief and reticle alignment are satisfactory, tighten all ring screws securely, following the torque specifications recommended by your ring manufacturer if available.

Operating

Magnification Adjustment

The Simmons PRO Hunter features a variable magnification range from 6x to 18x. To adjust the magnification, rotate the textured power change ring located near the eyepiece. Turn it clockwise to increase magnification and counter-clockwise to decrease it. Adjust to your desired level for target acquisition and shot placement.

Windage and Elevation Adjustment

The riflescope is equipped with capped, finger-adjustable windage and elevation turrets. These turrets are used to zero the riflescope to your firearm. The elevation turret is typically on top, and the windage turret is on the right side when viewed from the eyepiece.

• Elevation: Adjusts the vertical point of impact. Turning the turret clockwise typically moves the point of impact down, and counter-clockwise moves it up.
• Windage: Adjusts the horizontal point of impact. Turning the turret clockwise typically moves the point of impact right, and counter-clockwise moves it left.

After making adjustments, replace the turret caps to protect the mechanisms from dust and moisture.

Truplex Reticle
