1. Introduction

2. Setup and Mounting

2.1 Mounting the Riflescope

The Simmons PRO Hunter riflescope includes one-inch aluminum Weaver-style rings for mounting. Ensure your firearm has a compatible Weaver or Picatinny rail. Proper mounting is crucial for accuracy and consistent performance.

2.2 Focusing the Eyepiece

Each click of the turret corresponds to a specific change in the point of impact at 100 yards (or meters). Refer to the markings on your specific scope for click values. After making adjustments, replace the turret caps to protect the mechanisms from dirt and moisture.

3.3 Zeroing the Riflescope

Zeroing is the process of aligning the riflescope's point of aim with the firearm's point of impact at a specific distance. This should be done at a safe shooting range.

1. Initial Shot: Fire a shot at a target placed at your desired zeroing distance (e.g., 100 yards).
2. Observe Impact: Note where the bullet impacted relative to your aim point.
3. Adjust Turrets: Remove the turret caps. Adjust the windage and elevation turrets to move the point of impact towards your aim point. For example, if the bullet hit low and left, adjust elevation UP and windage RIGHT.
4. Repeat: Fire another shot and repeat the adjustment process until your shots consistently hit the desired aim point.
5. Replace Caps: Once zeroed, replace the turret caps.
